Lieberman Reveals True Colors on Health Care: It's About Revenge

Connecticut is the insurance capital of America.

So naturally, Lieberman will do his master's bidding.

What a douchebag!

LOL, doing your masters bidding only works if get reelected! His stance has made him a 20 point underdog at the moment!

That was true back in February when Obama was still popular, but now Lieberman's favorable ratings are much higher.

Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, an independent aligned with the Democrats, is seen favorably by 40 percent and unfavorably by 28 percent, with the balance either not having heard of him or having no opinion.

Palin's Favorability Numbers Improve -- Politics Daily

Another poll I saw recently had his favorables in Connecticut at 49% while the other senator from Connecticut, Chris Dodd, was at 30%. Considering that solid majorities of Americans, especially the independents who elected him in 2006, are opposed to the current health insurance bills in Congress, Lieberman's recent actions may have boosted his favorables even more.

Hope your right! Because I like a man that stands up for his convictions. Honest Joe does that!

Joe is an attention seeking whore. He always votes with the dems. He is fooling only those who want to be fooled. Talk is cheap, and Joe does a lot of it, but when it comes time to vote, he always votes like a liberal.
One day we'll see a new party formed starring Joe Liberman, Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, John McCain, Arlen Specter, Goober Graham and Al Franken

LIEBERMAN HEALTHCARE BILL

There is not a healthcare (reform) bill. Can't really call it a "reform bill" It has been slowly chipped away to nothing that the American people can support. That is the reason there is less support now than just a few months ago.
This plan has become the Joe Lieberman Healthcare Bill which is no plan at all, just more of the same.

It never was about health care, just a bunch of Democrats trying to gain more power from the people. If it was about health care, it would have addressed tort reform, allowing interstate competition and rooting out Medicare fraud.

Maybe just maybe could it be that he sees this bill as it is - AN ABOMINATION!

People want healthcare reform. Heck Lieberman does, but not this type of reform!

If that was the case, why was the exact provision he criticized yesterday something he was promoting three months ago?

He is critizing now the idea of dropping medicare to 55! He correctly points out that medicare at age 65 is bankrupt and now your adding more people to the program. Not to mention the bill cuts major funds to medicare. Many old farts rely on medicare and Lieberman recognizes this. This bill is an abomination (despite its good intentions).

Two points.
1. Lieberman not only campaigned on dropping Medicare to 55 when he ran for Vice President in 2000, he also promoted the idea earlier this year.
2. The bill doesn't cut funds to Medicare. It changes payouts in a way which is cost-saving, but it doesn't cut any services.
