I keep hearing how the Lamont victory is a sign that the country is coming over more to the cut-and-run philosophy, and that Republicans are in trouble.

Nonsense. This was a primary election where only Democrats voted, not a general election. The Lamont victory is a sign that DEMOCRATS are coming over more to the cut-and-run philosophy. The same philosophy that caused them to lose election after election throughout the 2000's. IMHO it's a sign that the Democrats are the ones in trouble: They are doing nothing to change a losing, dead-end philosophy that fewer and fewer Americans support.

The old Truman/JFK style, moderate Democrat Party is officially dead.

They should rename themselves for what they've become: The Socialist Party.
