I should have said plain jane, unpopular and insecure. If her father was a janitor, she undoubtably felt she needed an extra edge.

All my life my mother told me I was half Iroquois. I didn't find out until I was 50 and met by biological father that I wasn't. I'm actually one quarter Iroquois. Not one time did I ever use that heritage. I never checked the box. Elizabeth Warren may have felt that she couldn't make it on her own, she needed something else to make her special. She is to be pitied.
