I have found that the only thing religious about political conservatives is their preservation of barbaric practices in the Old Testament: Religious ignoramuses in Old Testament days were noted for killing, dragging and hanging non-conformists in public places or for completely annihilating the male offspring of those whom they had labeled their enemies to allegedly "put the fear of God" in folks.

"... Now the king’s sons, seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, who were rearing them. 7 So it was, when the letter came to them, that they took the king’s sons and slaughtered seventy persons, put their heads in baskets and sent them to him at Jezreel." - 2 Kings 10:6

"They killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. Then they put out his eyes, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon." - 2 Kings 25:7

"The Philistines were in hot pursuit of Saul and his sons, and they killed his sons Jonathan, Abinadab and Malki-Shua." - 1 Samuel 31:2

"And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree." - Deuteronomy 21:22

"And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening." - Joshua 10:26

"But the king took Armoni and Mephibosheth, the two sons of Aiah’s daughter Rizpah, whom she had borne to Saul, together with the five sons of Saul’s daughter Merab, whom she had borne to Adriel son of Barzillai the Meholathite. He handed them over to the Gibeonites, who killed them and exposed their bodies on a hill before the Lord. All seven of them fell together; they were put to death during the first days of the harvest, just as the barley harvest was beginning. Rizpah daughter of Aiah took sackcloth and spread it out for herself on a rock. From the beginning of the harvest till the rain poured down from the heavens on the bodies, she did not let the birds touch them by day or the wild animals by night." - 2 Samuel 21:8-10

I think it is very funny how political conservatives (often purporting to be religious) often conveniently copy only those Old Testament barbaric acts in Holy texts - such as killing, dragging or hanging non-conformists in public places; or completely annihilating the male offspring of people whom they have labeled enemy or a nuisance:

When Saddam Hussein, though westernized, but like Muammar Gaddafi informed NATO members he would repudiate the dollar as trading currency in Iraq, they killed Saddam Hussein and killed his sons. Exactly one (1) year after the demise of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, one of his remaining his sons, Khamis Gaddafi, is also killed - Colonel Gaddafi's youngest son Khamis Gaddafi 'dies after being captured in gun battle' | Mail Online

Of course, there is turmoil in Libya and mostly due to the fact that NATO thugs recruited lowlife Libyans as vehicle to overthrow International Freedom Fighter, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, whom our noted world bullies could neither intimidate nor subdue - Militias Become Power Centers in Libya | The Progressive

While Colonel Muammar Gaddafi (the only person who was capable of putting a tight leash on world imperialists) may not be present in person, the tenacious spirit of the Champion International Freedom Fighter thrives in Africa and amongst decent folks worldwide. The Colonel fought a heroic fight, finished his race and took his deserved rest. The Evergreen Legend sleeps, and Khamis Gaddafi also joins his father in perfect rest -

The Scramble for Africa and more scramble, it appears. I guess some people just never learn from past history. "The only thing dark about Africa is our ignorance of it," says George Kimble.

Nothing here but corroborated facts. And of course, the truth always sets people free.
