Politicians who jumped on Smollett race attack claim left in pickle as story unravels
Democratic politicians are backtracking from their initial comments about what was originally described as a hate crime against "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett, after a Chicago police spokesperson said over the weekend the "trajectory of the investigation" shifted and they no longer consider Smollett a victim in the case.
Eager to claim the incident was an 'attempted modern day lynching',
Kampala Harris, Cory Booker, Nancy Pelosi, and other Democrats are left with egg on their faces, looking like gullible partisan rubes, duped not only by Smollet's unraveling story but their own exposed easily-manipulated partisan hate.
Democrats would do well to remember the old saying 'Look Before You Leap'.
Having ignored that old adage, they have repeatedly been humiliated in the media recently.
From quickly running to support and defend AOC's 'Green New Fantasy' - which turned out to be a joke - to Smollet's staged racial hoax, the Democrats are looking like foolish, easily-duped partisan suckers...
...which definitely hurts Sparatacus' & Harris' image running in 2020.
