Isaiah 17 New International Version (NIV)

A Prophecy Against Damascus

17 A prophecy against Damascus:

“See, Damascus will no longer be a city
but will become a heap of ruins.
2 The cities of Aroer will be deserted
and left to flocks, which will lie down,
with no one to make them afraid.
3 The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim,
and royal power from Damascus;
the remnant of Aram will be
like the glory of the Israelites,”
declares the Lord Almighty.

4 “In that day the glory of Jacob will fade;
the fat of his body will waste away.
5 It will be as when reapers harvest the standing grain,
gathering the grain in their arms—
as when someone gleans heads of grain
in the Valley of Rephaim.
6 Yet some gleanings will remain,
as when an olive tree is beaten,
leaving two or three olives on the topmost branches,
four or five on the fruitful boughs,”
declares the Lord, the God of Israel.

7 In that day people will look to their Maker
and turn their eyes to the Holy One of Israel.
8 They will not look to the altars,
the work of their hands,
and they will have no regard for the Asherah poles[a]
and the incense altars their fingers have made.

9 In that day their strong cities, which they left because of the Israelites, will be like places abandoned to thickets and undergrowth. And all will be desolation.

10 You have forgotten God your Savior;
you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress.
Therefore, though you set out the finest plants
and plant imported vines,
11 though on the day you set them out, you make them grow,
and on the morning when you plant them, you bring them to bud,
yet the harvest will be as nothing
in the day of disease and incurable pain.

12 Woe to the many nations that rage—
they rage like the raging sea!
Woe to the peoples who roar—
they roar like the roaring of great waters!
13 Although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters,
when he rebukes them they flee far away,
driven before the wind like chaff on the hills,
like tumbleweed before a gale.
14 In the evening, sudden terror!
Before the morning, they are gone!
This is the portion of those who loot us,
the lot of those who plunder us.
well that clarifies everything.

Most people do not understand prophecy.

Like if you asked most people how many years are left on the Prophetical Calendar, they couldn't tell you.

The answer is actually 7.

7 years. This last 7 years have been suspended for a couple thousand years, and do not start again until things like Damascus being destroyed and a Major Peace Treaty with Israel is signed. Jerusalem being the capital of Israel is part of that as is having the 3rd temple being built there. It's all part of it.

Let me ask you a question:

Why do you think Barak Hussein Obama was so Eager to give Iran Billions of Dollars and then also Legitimize their Illegal Nuclear Weapons Program? Everyone and their Brother knew that Iran is a TERRORIST STATE. They were already in violation of the treaty that was in place.

And sending them all of that money was a violation of that current treaty. We were not allowed to give Iran American Dollars, or do wire transfers, and nothing was to be done of this nature without Congressional Authorization.
So Obama in the dead of Night, flew pallets of American Dollars to Europe to exchange them for pallets of Euros to try to run an end around the LAW. How interesting that no one called him on it....

And why did Iran give Millions of Dollars to Hezbollah, and other Terrorist Groups to buy massive amounts of weaponry; and why are they now involved along with Turkey, Russia, and Syria in some strange war in Syria?

Why has to focus of all conflicts suddenly turned towards the the Middle East where according to prophecy all the last battles and wars will be fought?

Why is the entire world concerned with Israel?

Even they really don't know why they are fighting over there. But God does, and he has allowed them to be gathered in Syria by their own volition, by their own hatred to accomplish his purpose.

This is just the beginning.

I found this one to be pretty good.

I'm a little curious as to what our intentions are towards the Iraqi and Syrian Kurds, who pretty much made up our proxy army in the ISIS fight.
And the Syrian Kurds are/were indigenous along the Turkey border. Most recently it appears the Shiaa were supporting them against Turkey's intervention.

Syrian civil war: regime forces come to Kurds' aid against Turkey in Afrin

As to the OP's question, we created ISIS when we invaded Iraq and dismantled the sunni society that eventually provided the personnel for ISIS, and American elected a president in Obama who wanted no part of a continued occupation. And the result was not just the war in Syria, but the destabilization of western European democracies.

So what do we do now?
swap labels around and keep fighting.

all we ever do.
Well, aside from the fact we never should have been in Iraq.

But, it's beyond weird that we are now sort of allied with the Iranian Shiaa against Turkey, and Turkey is sort of allied with Russia, and Russia is sort of allied with the Shiaa.

HUH?

"WE" - the Trump Administration - is not allied with Iran against Turkey. It just so happened that by DJT claiming that it seized - captured - the Euphrates Valley for the Kurds that it antagonized Turkey - which is a good thing because DJT is going to risk losing Turkey a powerful NATO member which it is then going to ally with Russia.

I hope Syria kicks Erdogan's sorry ass!

In 1996 US warmongers, neocrazies and Likudnicks promised to weaken and destabilize Syria to defend Israhell. For some reason The Trump administration claims that the reason the US is stealing the Euphrates Valley is to help the Kurds.. Well , that is not acceptable to Turkey. The US invasion of Syria is not acceptable to Russia. The only thing that will come of this foreign policy blunder is WW3.

.

Yeah, the Kurds are in big trouble. They cast their lot with US/Saudi 'Regime Change' in Syria. Before that, they lived in relative peace with Syrians. But now, the Syrian Government has no choice but to wage war against them. Also, Syrians are seeing the Turks seizing more & more areas of Northern Syria. They have to confront the Turks.

The Kurds are gonna get squeezed out. It's already happened to them in Northern Iraq. The Shiites have wiped them out. They should have stayed more neutral in the US/Saudi-created wars. They're paying a hefty price for supporting them.

The principles , Syria and Russia know that the folks controlling the Euphrates Valley and killing their soldiers are Americans NOT the Kurds. Now, of course, the Kurds will be squeezed out by the Turkey. I love it because Turkey , a huge and powerful NATO member will clash with that Trump administration.

Yes, Saudi Arabia and Israhell support the Sunnis : AlNusrah, ALQaeda and ISIS.

.

It's another bloody mess. We need to end the 'Regime Change' policy. We also need to disengage from the Middle East. It's time.

the more i look back the more we take whatever side we need to at the time for whatever goals our current admin may or may not have. our own policies and actions have been far from clear but i'm not sure it can be in such a complex environment.

i'd be inclined to just bring everyone home and let them fight it out. we'll buy oil as needed from whoever is in power and stay out of their business.

The US has no need to buy oil from anywhere. When Carter was prez, the Texas oil wells stopped pumping. All of a sudden there's gas gas lines around the block and we have to pay $1.40 vs. 70 cents because of American policy. Policy of buying oil from OPEC.

True story.
