Liberals want to use govt as the centralizing authority to promote the general welfare ie the social programs they believe necessary for equal social justice under law. And conservatives want all the good stuff in society run by free market and keep govt limited.

Both want the laws to reflect and protect their values. So any abuse or waste of govt resources has to be blamed on the other party.

The simple solution is to require members leaders donors and voters of both parties to pay for and manage their OWN political beliefs and agenda on terms that represent them. And keep these out of govt similar to private religious groups.

Then anything that gets passed as public law or programs has to be policies that ALL people parties and states AGREE to authorize to federal govt.

Anything less that is not agreed upon as a federal jurisdiction gets reverted to the people to manage, either through states if they can agree on that level instead, or by district or by party if they don't agree because of conflicts in political beliefs.

Just like religions, political parties should be separated from govt instead of abusing public resources or authority to force dissenting members of the public to comply or pay for biased policies beliefs or programs that violate our equal free exercise of religion including our political beliefs or political religion as a form of religion.

Both Constitutionalism and liberalism count as political religions or beliefs, as does socialism capitalism libertarianism conservatism.

Either treat these as equal and free choice or remove them all from govt and keep Govt neutral where only the policies we all agree on can pass as carrying public authority of law by representing the consent of all people equally regardless of Creed.
