McDonald's Monopoly was a great franchise activity, and it suggested that big fast food companies can mingle with more sociologically investigated lifestyle consumerism markets.

Fast food has become a hallmark of laissez-faire American hospitality, and no other country in the world offers the highly-rated (and highly-proftiable) fast food reliability and nutritional accreditation that America does.

Fast food companies such as McDonald's have become America's response to the foreign country tourism/hospitality industry, a rich industry that boasts the jaw-dropping Oberoi luxury hotel in Mumbai (India).

This thread is a year old. The facts of the matter are now well known. McDonalds is trying to fire their employees by developing technology that will allow them to efficiently create automated restaurants. Read this, dumbass.....

Excerpt:

Sure. You can make $15 an hour at McDonald’s, at least in Seattle. You just have to perform better than this machine. But if you are not more cost effective than that machine, then not only do you not make $15, you do not have a job at all. That machine is the not so distant replacement for cashiers demanding more and more pay. A Reddit comment says the cashiers at this McDonald’s were replaced by machines.

Mike highlights that in Seattle a fast-food worker might earn $15 per hour but most actually get paid a lot less and some are even fighting for a better deal. Doesn’t really matter what the wage is though, it looks like McDonald’s (and others) are quickly moving to automation in much the same way as airports and supermarkets.

Guy, we're talking about billion dollar corporations. Back in the clinton days, McDonalds paid well above minimum wage because we had 4% unemployment and they had to in order to get good help.

today they pay the minimum and then tell their employees how to apply for food stamps and medicaid.

I'm not sure why you are so keen to have the taxpayer subsidize their workforce.

These are workers trying to form a Union. That is the ONLY way to get fair wages in this country. Reagan broke the Unions in the 80s, and social mobility came to a halt. People who work for a living in the private sectors have been led by the nose with corporate heads demanding greater productivity. The greater productivity has happened. Sharing the profits has not.
