Do you believe that poor women already financially burdened with several children should be encouraged NOT to have an abortion? Why?

If you already have several children and you don't know about birth control. You may be a liberal.

We do have a cultural issue that champions single motherhood. It's all fine and dandy that Murphy Brown has a child by herself (3 glitters for recognizing the reference) when she's wealthy enough to afford help, but it doesn't help the poor woman who's been told she can have it all and doesn't need a man around to help her raise 5 kids on her own.

Apparently, you don't. Those children don't deserve being abandoned by boys (they don't deserve to be called men), but they deserve even less to be killed without even a chance at living. Let's put it this way. Isn't it racist to say that there are too many black children being born?

So what is your position on the poor woman who has an unwanted pregnancy and does not want another child?

First, do everything possible to identify the father and hold him responsible. Making it harder to dump and run would cut down the numbers of babies being dumped on society. In essence, that's what we're really talking about, what to do with babies not wanted by their parents. I won't call them unwanted because there are couples who spend a lot of time and money trying to adopt a baby.

I'm not stupid, if we want the babies to have a chance at life, we should give them a good chance at it. Those babies should be born and cared for. I do not accept the premise that not being wanted by parents or by society should be a death sentence. Is that we do, the homeless population would shrunk dramatically.

The ultimate solution, as it always has been, lies not in government programs, but rather in what society expects. Instead of glorifying single parenthood, let's glorify stable nuclear families. Instead of championing men who have multiple children with multiple women who don't take care of them, let's champion men who sacrifice their immediate gratification for the good of their families. Continuing to deal only with the symptoms ensures that they will never go away.

Here it is: it isn't 'racism' unless there is some documented physical or monetary harm done.
Being offended is not racism, as the ability...and desire...to claim offense is without end. It has become an attention-getting device.

The real America is not a place where we enable criminalizing opinions or thought crimes. That the meaning of the first amendment.
