US Ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice is now facing attack from leftist environmentalist groups calling for her to be disqualified from consideration for Sec'y of State.
The reason for the Tree Hugger hissy fit? Seems Ms Rice has quite a portfolio of stocks and other investments in the Oil Industry. Particularly the Trans Canada Oil pipeline.
That is HER RIGHT to do so.
As Sec'y of State, Rice would be able to make decisions regarding international commerce. The now stalled in political never never land Keystone Pipeline would be once such international project.
The Environmentalist groups claim Rice could enrich herself by having decision making authority in such matters.

There is no way ( and was no way) they were/are going to allow a senatorial forum on what will turn out to be a Benghazi feeding frenzy, that speaks either to her incredible loyalty to obama, incredible hutzpah thinking she could pull it off, or incredible stupidity.

I have to say, if she was indeed set up as a lightning rod, I have to admit a grudging admiration of obama team, they will get exactly what they want, ala sec state, they could trot out Cynthia McKinney and after all the crap over Rice, she'd get it Kerry is a shoo in.

The company she has interests in is the Italian international oil company. "ENI has said that it is no longer doing business with Iran, but it has a waiver from sanctions to enable it to collect oil as payment for about $1 billion Iran owes the company from earlier business deals."

Rice will have to overcome a great deal if she gets nominated. There would be more in her background that she would have to explain. For example, "Rice wondered on a conference call how the use of the word genocide would affect the November elections if the U.S. failed to intervene, appearing to be more preoccupied with the domestic political ramifications of the tragedy than in stopping the violence."

the only upside left in nominating her is playing the beat down victim, black woman card. Aside from Benghazi shes got other baggage too, but in the end, they don't want Benghazi dragged out in an event even the msm will have to cover heavily.

I actually think Obamination and his goons felt the GOP would be too scared to call a black woman a liar on TV. Hillary has been proven to be a liar in the past, so she wasn't going to be put out there but this new liar isn't well known to the American public.

They expected Rice could use her black skin and being a woman to keep the GOP from pushing the subject, but they underestimated how important the Libya issue is overall. You just don't get an Ambassador and 3 other Americans killed with State Department, DoD and CIA people stating it was a terrorist attack on 9-11 and the liars in the White House tried to dupe the American public with some video story bullshit.
