Liberals Hate Christians

Many of the alleged fundy Christians are Christians in name and not deed. They love to preach un-Christian hate and kill in the name of Jesus. Which makes them no better than the alleged "un-Godly" people they are fighting.

NOT MANY....a small number! and no-one is saying they are better!

Anybody can say "you're not a Christian", and sure, "Christians" may not be living exactly what they believe. It's called sinning. We all do it. No one is perfect. Only Jesus was perfect. That's why we ask Jesus to forgive us.

But there's something else to consider, I for example, would never denounce the name of my Lord or deny being a Christian. I believe in the father, the son, and the holy ghost with all my fiber, and always will, and not you or anybody else can ever take that away from me.

Well that's probably what you would say because that's what pertains to you. Fact of the matter is, some people ARE going to go to hell. The Bible says that the road to hell is wide, and many will take it, and that the road to heaven is narrow, and few will find it. So however that message is delivered makes no difference in the fact that yes, a lot of people are going to go to hell.

And the fact that you don't like hearing that people are going to go to hell is probably the same reason liberals don't like it. Liberals are just smart enough to know they're going to go to hell for all the things they believe should be, i.e., homosexuality, abortion, the desecration of holy matrimony by queers, etc.. Christianity stands in their way, and that's what the article points out.

What makes you think you will find the narrow road eh? What gives you the right to tell me that I am going to hell when you have no idea one way or the other. Thats in the bible too, Judge not lest ye be judged, Do not remove the spinter from the eye of your neighbor till you have removed the plank form your own, may he who has never sinned toss the first stone and all that. If God is out there, then He will judge whether or not I am going to hell, not some guy on a soap box.

Why are you quoting the bible? You don't believe that stuff.

Yes Pale, you are such a loving, Christian person that you include a flag of hate in your avatar.

It doesnt matter whether I beleive it, Pale believes it and the guy on the soap box believes it, but in their zest to condemn libs to hell they missed a few passages.

But you don't believe it. You fully believe in judgement.

Actually I would probably say that most liberals don't hate christianity, or even the majority of Christians, what they dislike is soap box preachers yelling at the top of their lungs that this and that kind of person is going to hell. Now this is a minority among christian, but it is a visible, and very audible minority.

Actually, I believe liberals like to point to the scary tactics of the fire & brimstone fundies as a sort of excuse to not follow the teachings of the Bible. What the fundies are teaching is not wrong but they grate directly against the beliefs of the liberal hedonistic mind so the liberals must call them "extremists" in order to continue to feel good about themselves. God certainly does not want you to burn in Hell. However you must follow the teachings of the Christ to enter the gates of heaven.

We need to follow the teachings of Christ in the Bible, not create our own comfortable, politically-correct image of God. That is idolatry.

Liberal politics supports many things that the Bible teaches is wrong - such as lust, lewdness, prostitution, pornography, abortion, homosexuality, suppression of the expression of God, etc. The liberal mantra has been "If it feels good, do it". The atheistic, communist liberal is against God and family at every turn because the idolized State is their goal and master.

It is impossible to serve two masters.

Because I've been reborn in the name of Jesus Christ, just as he instructs you to do in the Bible.

I said "a lot of people will go to hell". If you think you're going to be one of them or not, I have no clue.

And you're right. "Some guy on a soap box" ISN'T going to be the judge of whether or not you go to heaven. He IS, however, a PREACHER, and his job IS to tell you HOW to get to heaven, or get to hell. Preacers have been around all long as man has been keeping written history.

No I don't, just because I am agnostic doesn't mean I can't believe that the bible has got some good things to live by in it. Take the lesson, leave the religion for the religious.

What is the bad advice in the bible?

You're losing steam gutter queen. Labeling the Confederate Battle Flag "hateful" is lame. Would you like the flag better if it had had a picture of a bunny, and people standing around holding hands singing kum ba ya?

You're pathetic, as are all liberals.

Never said there was any, though I do have qualms about the whole slavery thing.

OK OK... start a "I have qualms about slavery" thread then. This one is about liberals hating Christians.

What "that whole slavery thing"?

Confederate Flag brings back memories of the "old south" - slavery, racism, etc.

I still maintain that if the KKK had used a flag with Hello Kitty instead of the Confederate Flag as their "symbol", none of this would be going on; except Sanrio would be going broke.

No more mention of this in this thread from me.

The bible does approve of a limited form of slavery. I disagree with the bible on this issue.

Is it explicit approval, really? which passage approves of slavery? Do you consider setting standards for treatment of slaves to be approval of slavery?

It was not about your confederate flag thing with gabby, I was answering a question that RWA asked me about the bible.
