Bernie Sanders, by all definitions of the word, especially considering the history of our nation, is almost un-American as you can get - a full-blown admitted Socialist! This is a direct affront to the government created by and entrusted to us from our Founding Fathers. Not to mention that almost every nation that has ever embraced Socialism has COLLAPSED. As if America is not close enough already to that, Crazy Uncle Bernie was to puch us all the way over by trying to completely sell us on abandoning what has kept this nation great / existing for over 200 years for a system - again - that has collapsed almost every nation that has embraced it.

He may be 'genuine'...'honest', no (he's already been caught in a few 'stretches'), but he is peddling 'national suicide'. No thanks.

But none of them will last. It's not that socialism gets implemented and over night it fails, it's simply that it always followed a predictable rout of failling.

For the record most of the countries liberals like to claim as socialist are in fact less so than America, just they have some more *big name* programs that make it easy to toss into debates. The US is I believe the 4th most regulated country on earth, we have Government involved in HC and Education to housing and food... Our Government bails out companies it likes and leaves others to fend for themselves and fail. Our Government literally hands money to the rich to lend to the middle class and poor for higher rates than the rich get money for.

What I'm getting at is you can point at a country of 6 million and be all like "FREEEEE COLLEGE SEEEE I TOLD YAH!!!!" but the US simply hides it's incredible involvement in everything better.

Where do you think 18 trillion in debt came from? Where do you think Obama running 2 trillion in deficit spending every year comes from (careful before you challenge that 2 trillion number), the federal reserve's endless stimulus benefits politicians so it should be looked at for what it is, deficit spending on welfare programs.

I just talked again with a life long democrat friend of mine while helping him on an emergency power line repair, and he said that not only he, but his entire family of brothers and sister are all in for Trump, and this is a life long dem voting family. They also feel it's time to get rid of establishment politicians that are nothing more than the same ole, same ole. They want new blood from outside, and what better than someone that can't be bought. Second, a social-democratic mode of government is what most of Europe, Australia, new Zealand, etc. have had for decades (and if FOX told you to bring up Greece, any high school student can tell you that Greece's problems are much more complex than to simply summarize as "socialism's" fault.)

Third, as a progressive (not a REgressive) nation, we should start out by FIRST determining what are good government programs (like several that Sanders is proposing) and THEN figuring out how we can afford such good programs.......and YES, it does mean LESS income disparities (i.e., progressive taxation) and LESS spending on military wastefulness.

Obama job growth is at 44% right now, and a minimum of 50% is required to maintain the existing level of Middle Class, who do all of the paying for the Liberals' social programs designed to keep the poor and illegals voting for them.
