Confederates at the outbreak of the Civil War.

he was at, and the Garrison laid down their weapons. The American
Forces were escorted out of Texas and sent on their way.

Lee returned to Washington where Lincoln offered him a promotion
to Major General and command of the Army of the Potomac. It was the
same day that Virginia voted for secession. Lee, instead resigned his
commission and enlisted in the Army of Virginia.

He had no choice. The POTUS was raising an Army of 75,000 volunteers
to invade his own country, and Lee returned to defend his State.

That video was posted AFTER Berhgdal had been released, which was more than 5 years after he deserted his unit. Everyone knew he had deserted, including Susan. Why not just be honest and admit that Susan's statement was wrong?
