Will American liberals volunteer to serve the Chavista regime to save the vestiges of progressivism in South America?

Back in the 1930's, during the Spanish Civil War, American liberals formed the "Abe Lincoln Brigade" to fight in favor of the Spanish "Republicans" (actually communists).

It would be interesting to see folks going to Caracas, especially with mutinies occurring in the Venezuelan military.

Venezuela quells soldiers' revolt, top court blasts congress

They won’t, they are pussies.

Instead they will push for open borders and just make America like Venezuela.

Lousy right wing management does that. Thank Goodness, FDR was a left winger.

Venezuela is an ultraliberal regime, not "right wing" by any stretch of the imagination. I remember 2002 when the coup attempt against Chavez failed and libs were overjoyed.

Socialism worked PERFECTLY in Venezuela: the leaders became billionaires, the people who thought Socialism was a good idea wound up eating their pets and selling their kids. Embrace your successes

President Chavez was a superb manager, in the Socialist Tradition. The system worked just like he had planned. Liberal leaders here in America lauded Chavez for his home energy program he devised to upstage President Bush, the way he went to New York City and called President Bush the devil. I still remember the great praise the Chavez received from American liberal leader Sean Penn.

Actually, Venezuela's economy is based on oil, not agriculture. What Chavez did was to steal and nationalize the oil industry so he could maximize his take.

The federal government has a large debt. But we aren't starving and we have a man with a plan in Washington to resolve our problems.

tax cut economics are worthless if they don't cover spending.
