In the case of rape, another person enters the center of the body, thus challenging the above. Once you are not the exclusive occupant of your body, in your own judgement, you end up switching to trauma related psychologies. So rape is a challenge of a common assumption, that everyone takes for granted, automatically.

There is such a thing as assault, and that results in prison sentences usually, if the assault is conducted outside school property. But how is rape different from assault? After all, both assault victims and rape victims have their bodies fully recovered in a few days, discounting permanent bullying. So, what causes the female mind to not follow the body's recovery, and stay in the damaged state for years if not forever? Sex education in schools are correct to warn against rape, but they don't provide an understanding what makes rape special. Just as a guess, is this problem with rape because the female mind includes rape fantasies as a rule, and then ends up in a conflict with itself when these fantasies become reality? What is the differentiating reason why rape is not like all the other assaults?

People become traumatized from assault in general. It is just the means of coping with trauma that varies from person to person.

Rape is "special" as a crime because almost anyone can be pushed to point of getting into fisticuffs, but only a person devoid of all human value can commit rape. Simple as that.

Rape is especially worse than assault because it takes something that is essential to society, and considered to be a sacred cow (intimate, consensual, sexual relations) and distorts into something terrible, which often renders the person unable to comfortably perform consensual sex in the future. For the same reason we find child molestation particularly heinous. Rape doesn't just create a horrible moment for a person's psyche, it often robs them of future pleasurable moments that we as humans find essential to life.
