Lets get Behind Romney

AS much as I like Cain I think the nom will be Romney.

I won't have a problem voting for either of these two.

I also think that Reps will decide to vote for him since the alternative will be another 4yrs of Barry and his pack of idiots.

I could be wrong but somehow I don't think so.

Me too. And, like you, I like Cain a lot. He was on Brit tv earlier - dude is smart.

I'd like to see Romney pick Cain for the VP slot. That would be a nice ticket.... not my ideal but I can live with it.

I agree. Cain is one smart man and I truly admire the guy. Just don't think he will get the nod.

As you say. Romney/Cain, Not the ideal, not perfect but then what in life is ever perfect??

Anybody who thinks Romney is very different from Obama will be sorely disappointed if he wins. It's not even because of the Obamacare/Romneycare issue, which I highly doubt will be resolved if Romney wins with a straight up repeal.

I doubt the man will do anything different from Bush, or Obama. Just like McCain was no different from them, and Perry is no different from them. These people will do nothing to change the country, what is needed is drastic changes soon. As we continue on this path, doing essentially nothing when it comes to the problems that plague our country but maintain the status quo the actions that needed to be taken will become more and more drastic as we dig ourselves deeper.

As much as you don't want to hear it, Ron Paul or Herman Cain are the only two I see who have the heart to make such decisions. While still appearing unelectable Paul is doing better everytime he runs, Cain's poll numbers are improving. So you can laugh and deny all you want but 10 15yrs down the road one of these kind of candidate will be the nominee, from their, it's just a matter of time before they win.

I have been behind Romney always. That does not prevent me from liking other primary contenders-talking about them or even voting for them in the primary. I am bewildered at fellow conservatives who think we need to "get behind" a single candidate at this time-

Let the primary season wind itself through the process of vetting all of those running. Do not buy into the oppositions talking points of having to have a front runner this early!

If the Republicans are smart enough to pick someone that can bring in the independents... it is their election to lose. I figure that independents would go for Romney... and Cain.... I may have some issues with Romney but he can take Obama down.

I'm not sure I'll vote for Romney. I don't trust him. He has been on both sides of too many issues. I also don't think he'll do anything to roll back the scope of government, maybe just keep it from getting larger, which isn't good enough anymore.

Yup.

I have issues with Romney as well. I just think there are more good points to the guy than bad.

A big plus is that he's the one person the Dems seem to think can beat Barry in 2012.

Now thats one helluva good point.

It's all about beating Obama. Romney is the candidate by default, but if Obama is reelected, the country is over.

I'd rather have four years of Marxist Obama not getting what he wants then 4 years of socialist lite Romney getting it. Did you learn nothing from the eight disastrous years of the W administration?

Fortunately the GOP has moved so far to the right that they will never win another Presidential Election as long as the loud minority radical rightwing tea partiers continue to run roughshod over the rest.

So you prefer inflation, unemployment and massive debt?

What they want is a Republican who doesn't differentiate themselves from Democrats. That way they can't lose.

I supported Romney in 08. He was the most conservative candidate running then. He is a capable leader. He has plenty of experience cleaning up scandals and corruption. He has had a lifetime showing he can reduce spending. Both are things nation desperately needs.

Yes he has his weaknesses. Romneycare for one. But his position even in the 08 election was to encourage the States to deal with health care and not have it be a federal issue.

Is he completely trustworthy? I don't know. I thought so at one point, but considering now I dont really trust any politician, im unsure here. But I think he can. And he can be influenced by the base.

He isn't going to increase taxes, increase regulation, or expand government like Obama has. He is stable enough that businesses will be able to start predicting the economy better and growing again.

He still isn't my candidate of choice. Things have changed since 08. I have changed. But I would be able to easily support him if he is the nominee and if the others dont impress me. Im keeping my eye on Cain and Gingrich right now. because i like both their leadership qualities, but I have doubts about them as well.

Thankfully, I wont have to cast a vote for a while so i can continue to gather information and pray about it until the time to make a decision is upon me.

Normally I would agree this, but we have never had someone like Obama in office.

I can't say for sure that Obama doesn't hate America, I'm sure Romney doesn't.

Obama must be stopped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i disagree. Its about selecting the best President. All of our candidates can beat Obama. Even Paul.

What 4?

Perry fucked his chances in general by calling SS a pozi scheme, and (even dumber) than that sticking to it.

Herman Cain has no chance.

Who's left?? Paul?? LMAO Bachman? LMAO

Romney is the guy.
