Aside from the Zappa tunes that Dr. Demento played on his weekly radio show (94.7 KMET Los Angeles) I didn't appreciate Frank for the genius he was until I read his book that came out shortly before his passing. Frank mentioned in the video that music has declined because the "young and hip" kids are in control of what gets published and all I could think of is that moron Jay-Z. Look at what Hip Hop and Rap have done to the music industry. Who knows how to play a musical instrument nowadays? All they do is sample someone elses tune, and in some cases play the whole song and ruin it by rapping over the top of it! And by the way, who the fuck told Lady Gaga that she had any talent? That's some of the most unlistenable music I've ever heard! Anyone listen to the American Top 40 anymore? What a bunch of crap! Not too long ago a Ring Tone was the #1 song! A fuckin' RING TONE!
