Dealmaker Donald Trump had a deal. It was deal he said he would sign just two days earlier on live TV. It was a deal he said he would "take the heat" for if it came to that, then he buckled—and for no reason at all.

The deal would have been an all-around victory for him. It gave him $1.6 billion for the border wall he so badly wants. It gave him a DACA fix for Dreamers, the "bill of love" he'd asked Congress to give him. And it would have given him the votes to pass a long-term spending bill to both fund the government and the military, a top priority for Trump and the White House.

But Trump looked that deal in face and spit at it. Almost literally spit at it, because he had been primed by his nativist aides and the nativist lawmakers his aides had summoned to the White House to kill the deal. Mission accomplished.

Trump not only killed the deal, but he did so in terms that left the deal's brokers—Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin and GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham—speechless...

Regardless of his deal-making abilities, there are some people in this world who are so pig-headed, so stubborn, and so arrogant that they cannot be dealt with like normal people.

Those people are Democrats.

uh........$1.6B is not enough ($20B?). Where is the end to Visa Lottery? End to Chain Migration? this was no deal. this was hogwash.

First. The orange assclown, that has now been exposed as cheating on his third wife with a porn star, said repeatedly to the point of making normal people want to vomit, that Mexico was going to pay for the wall. A $1.6 Billion gesture by Democrats was very generous on their part.

Said assclown, and serial adulterer and pathological liar also stated in a meeting just two days ago, he would sign a clean DACA bill.

The fact that he didn't even try to make a deal, but sat back and allowed radical members in the House dictate ultimatums, instead of making part of the deal that would exclude chain migration, was a decided failure on the "dealmakers" part.

Mainly because he is an incompetent know nothing, a failure as a human being, and a grifter that nobody takes seriously anyway.

Your attempt at trying to frame this as a serious conversation is so noted.

The "deal" would have given us worse immigration rules that we now have. Schumer is a goddamned snake. He's not quite as bad as that piece of shit, Harry Reid, but he would still have to tape a quarter to his ass to avoid being worthless.

$1.6 billion is nothing. If we don't get all the wall funding now, we'll never get it.

Take your $1.6 billion and go fuck yourself.

You idiots must believe we're as dumb as you are.

 Sure... From the DailyKos perspective -- that's ALL of it... Kinda inappropriate to pack all that baggage into a 3 or 4 CONTINUATION of the govt... If DailyKos was aware of the STUPIDITY of running the USA 3 or 5 weeks at a time -- they'd get some respect.

BIGGEST ISSUE is --- there needs to be a YEARLY BUDGET.. And a spending cap. How about we DO THAT cleanly first?

Shutdown Schumer will get what he deserves. He can't lie his way out of it either.

I really don't see the democrat tactic of engineering government shut downs and blaming them on Republicans as working this time.

Anyone residing in the United States illegally should be deported.

Period. It’s the law and it’s that simple.

Tell the orange assclown to keep his promise and make Mexico pay for it.

If he has decided he doesn't want to keep his promise, and now expose himself as a liar. He can always take it out of the $2 Trillion in tax cuts he gave out to the real welfare queens. The lay about rich.

You're going to pay for it, douchebag. Just get used to that reality.

Sorry junior. Every respectable poll out there shows this is going to get shoved very far up your ass. This is the ultimate embarrassment for the first anniversary of the fat ass failure that's sitting in front of his television right now, pissed because he is supposed to be at his golf course, again, to celebrate his first year in office.

All because he made the decision last year to rescind DACA.

It's what is called being hung by your own petard junior.

And what will be called the Trump shutdown right up until the midterms when the blue wave drowns your ass, and the assclowns Presidency is effectively shut down.

Now go get another swastika tattooed on your ass junior and try to convince everybody you are somebody.
