Although I am a white, older, Christian male, I can objectively state that this new Congress....especially on the democrats' House side......better reflects the new trend in American sociology and cultural values.

Notice on the democratic side the number of women, veterans, minorities, Muslim, and most of all, younger House representatives who have been elected........THIS IS THE NEW U.S.

The GOP still clings to the evangelical, older white male representation, and it will not be too long before these folks wind up representing only a dwindling white minority; couple this trend with the often subtle (and sometime overt) racism, xenophobia and misogyny expressed by these white republicans, and the future of the GOP is extremely bleak.

But can conservatives ever get over their fear of change, diversity, and inclusion – and the bigotry, racism, and hate the consequence of that unwarranted fear.

It's not fear.

Change which will advance current positive circumstances, not destroy them for the sake of some nonsensical idea of deserved equality in individual outcomes is fine.

Diversity of ability, thought and expression is desirable, but forced expectations based upon a graph in some bureaucrat's desk rigged to satisfy some odd notion of political correctness is not.

Forcing inclusion for its own sake is a lost cause. People naturally attract those with similar levels of wealth, education, abilities, moral standards and beliefs, and not everyone is qualified for inclusion in all situations.
