Lesbian Moms a Growing U.S. Phenomenon

Thanks for the welcome!!

As far as me being sarcastic in my comment... totally. I would not be studying to become a teacher in a public high school if I thought differently. But, thanks for your concern about schools taking a leftist view, just as I think religious schools take a skewed view. Personally, I believe it's up to the students what kind of view is transpiring on any campus. Unless it's in a controlled environment, which is often the case in religious schools.

I'm glad I could be someones friend!! It's about time, I earned it! :D KL, you seem by far superior in comparison to me. For what you went to school for, it puts me to shame. My head hurts just trying to figure out exactly what I would do if I had degrees in you fields.

As for home schooling, I see pros and cons to it. But if it's what you have to do for the time being, then so be it. I'm sure it's difficult...

DK does know that I was kidding right? Don't want to offend anyone too early on, LOL;)

I think your right though Sir Evil, I can't think of anything too interesting about heteros to talk about. Why do we have to be so damn boring? ;)

Well, my simple (but deep) point <(no reference to the Rocco thing intended :D ) was that heterosexuals are the norm and accepted. They are the standard.

The revolution is for people to carry on doing what they think they want to do as long as it doesn't hurt someone else---moral relativism.

This thinking makes those with a fixed standard look prudish, uncolorful and bland. We "celebrate diversity" now. -Really just a smokescreen again for moral relativism.

America likes to spotlight the "different" or gimicky. Homosexuality is perfect for this, and on top of that, it fits with a socialist agenda. In America, we are becoming overshadowed by socialist movements. In the world, that is now the predominating political force.

America doesn't care what heterosexuals think--no one does.

Heterosexuals are boring uncaring sticks-in-the-mud who can't get with the times and want to crush everyone elses "freedoms".

-At least that is the view perpetuated.

and here all this time I thought it was about free will and an individuals life answering to god at the end.

As the only Liberal moderator on the board I've dealt with my share of insults and slander thrown my way. It would be difficult at best to truly offend me. ;)

I don't think I follow the point. I was talking from a public viewpoint. Are you wanting to go into religion? We can do that too. :D ;)

that would be my wife who deals with the religion discussions, not me.

my point though, was that religion and spirituality is meant to be a personal issue, like having your personal relationship with god. Theres no such thing as a 'community relationship with god', is there?

Oh hon, I am SO not superior. My degree is simply something that interested me and I have this damn defect in my personality - when I get interested in something, I refuse to not know everything possible about it that I can learn!

but thanks :)

Well, when I mentioned moral relativism, I was adressing the simple solitary belief that everyone should choose what they think is best for themselves and be free to do it. -FLAMBOYANTLY -which DOES encroach upon the rights of others in many ways.

I agree with your view, though.

ehhhh, I don't remember saying that it should be allowed 'flamboyantly'. I do think, however, that once a 'taboo' is no longer taboo, it loses its attention value and becomes mundane.

I know. I was clarifying what I said. -I think the point got lost. Oh well. :)
