Leg of Lamb

Do you have a personal recipe? One that you have actually made?
Oven method.
Yes, I have a personal recipe:

Take a 9x13 baking dish and chop up a large onion into it. Add a few spoonfuls of minced garlic. Add Burgundy wine - I give it a good few glub glubs - probably around 16 ounces.

Put a wire rack across/in the baking dish so that the lamb sits above it, not in it. Preheat the oven to 350.

You can find it in most supermarkets.

Apply it all over the lamb. Put the lamb on the wire rack and bake for 2 hours for a 4-5 lbs lamb. If you like it rare, cook until the internal temp is 140-145. I like it closer to 165.

The gravy it makes in the bottom of the baking pan is delicious. but be careful that it doesn't all evaporate. You may have to tent it with foil. But you want to get a nice crust on the outside. Sometimes I start mine for 30 minutes at 500, then turn down for the remainer, to get that crust.

Good luck!
