Whitaker gave an interview on TV on how if he were AG he would starve the Mueller investigation. Cut it's funding, refuse to sign off on prosecutions, and to sign requests for subpeonas. As a TV commentator, he was highly critical of the Mueller Investigation and repeatedly called for it to be shut down. It was precisely BECAUSE of these interviews that Trump hired him as Session's assistant.
