While she's a great singer and the songs are decent, the subject material is tired. It's a cd I'll put on in the background, but never actively engage.

She does have a great for, though.

Not if you're telling the same thing the same way as others before (and even at that, over and over and over). Listening to her cd is no better than listening to a good cover band. Sure it's good, technically. Artistically it's just a big rehash. There's no creativity. Oh wow, another cd about how music has lost its way, and Leela is here to save the day.


Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the cd. It's just nothing revolutionary. And if you listen to the album at least 60% is pure filler.
