President Lee Myung-bak has sent a message to U.S. President Barack Obama ahead of the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Lee said South Korea will never forget the victims, the family members who deal with unspeakable pain, and the American people who have courageously overcome their deep sorrow.
The president said we must prevent such a tragic crime from recurring so the lives lost in the 9/11 attacks won't be futile.
He said the world will continue efforts toward liberty, peace and joint prosperity and that South Korea, as an ally and friend of the United States, will join in the efforts.
