Leave the New Deal In the History Books

Neo-Libertarians? I'm getting confused.

I'm sorry. I jumped in. what was it "new Anarchists/libertarians"?

I was merely saying substitute neo for new. and yes ?I think there are neo-Libertarians and some Anarchists do appear to be of a libertarian bent or is it the other way around?

too tired to think clearly right now. I gotta get me an almond or two.

I have no idea what was meant by "new."

That's so true. The Anarchists/libertarians are the new communists. They have an answer to all problems, but its a stupid answer!

Anarchists and legitimate libertarians have always been socialists. The French anarcho-communist Joseph Dejacque was the first person to use the term "libertarian" in print.

At any rate, amusing reference to the New Deal. Roosevelt's legacy can be described without mention to Keynesianism up to the start of the war.

And holding on to some Utopian anarchist dreams will never save you

I'd take anarchism/liberty over statism any day of the week, and thankfully, our founders agreed.

I don't understand why anti-market liberals (and neo-conservatives) subscribe to the very same economic policies of Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Mao and all the other statists of the 20th century, but yet reject their domestic policy as regressive and oppressive. Is there really anything more cruel than forcing poverty on people as FDR did?
