LANDOVER, Md. – Plaxico Burress' lawyer tells The Associated Press that he has been advised the New York Giants' star receiver will be charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

Benjamin Brafman has written in an e-mail to the AP that Burress will turn himself in Monday morning. Brafman says Burress "will enter a plea of not guilty."

Burress accidentally shot himself in the right thigh Friday night in New York.
