Laws vs. Ethics vs. Morals

Laws are for everyone.
Ethics are for a specified group of people.
Morals are a matter of personal exploration.

Laws are usually not as strict but are physically enforced with police officers, prisons, courts, etc.
Ethics are more strict than laws but are enforced socially or emotionally. The harshest of punishment would be excommunication from the group. A CPA or a lawyer can lose their license for failing to meet certain ethical standards. In religious circles a person can be shunned, ex-communicated, ridiculed or harassed for violating that group's personal ethical code. Ethics cannot be imposed on an outsider of the group owning the ethical code.
Morals are usually more strict than ethics. Morals are born out of the non-selfish portion of our being. We crave to be fair to others or make wise long term decisions which are usually contrary to our own desire. There is no punishment for violating morals other than ones own feelings of guilt and disappointment. Morals can be imposed upon others by influencing law or governing bodies attached to a code of ethics. Morals alone cannot be enforced at all because they are a matter of personal conviction.
