You'll learn to like it.

That's the message from White House advisers and Democratic lawmakers to Americans opposed to the health insurance overhaul signed into law last week.

And they're willing to wager that come November, Americans will have done just that.

"As people learn what's actually in the bill, that six months from now, by election time, this is going to be a plus because the parade of horribles, particularly the worry that the average middle class person has that this is going to affect them negatively, will have vanished and they'll see that it'll affect them positively in many ways, " Sen. Chuck Schumer, D.N.Y., said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press."

The new health care law goes into effect immediately, but many provisions won't be enacted any time soon, and while the Senate debate has ended, the public square offers a preview of the midterm campaign battle ahead.

wanna freaking bet??? people are as pissed about the CF of a bill as much as they are the CF of a process..

They're hoping that the public won't bother to read the bill and find out what's in it - just like Congress didn't.

At this point the big government stooges will say anything.

In Chuck's case, he is somewhat famous for saying really stupid things that always turn out wrong.

Not a clue how the Dems will fare in the mid term elections thanks to this bill.

I think that the teabaggers are certain not to vote for Dems, but the question is how many people do they really represent?

As much as I don't like this bill, and am not a big fan of Obama's continuation of Bush II's policies, I dislike what the teabaggers stand for, too.

You can make fun of the Tea Partiers all you want to but they are here and I don't think they are going to stop protesting what the Govt, our elected offcials, are doing.

Folks are beginning to wake up to what the Govt is doing. They don't care for the bailouts, the buyoffs or the bs that went into passing this bill. They are pissed at both partys. The Dems more because they are the party in power right now. They passed this bill all on their own and completely ignored the wishs of their constituents. The taxpayers that fund all the bs they are so fond of shoving down our throats.

I believe foks are also pissed that a whole year has been wasted on the HC BS. A year that should have gone toward imporoving the economy and jobs.

This HC bill has no reform in it at all. THere is nothing to lower costs. All they did was add millions to the roles and we the taxpayers will pay the freight as always.

No wonder folks are pissed. I sure am.

Learning to like it is not what they are betting on... Being lulled back to sleep is probly more like what they are hoping for.

Exactly, THEY know that we have long demonstrated we have short term memories concerning political decisions and events in the past. That's why we kept electing the same old crew back into office creating a society of connivers and manipulators almost solely concerned with their own agendas more than ours.

THEY, will have a rude awakening this time around, their arrogance will be their downfall., in my humble opinion.

The entire plan, from the enormous bill to the illicit means by which it was passed isn't going to go away... and this is certain due to the fact that the Democrats will return to the same policy time and again before the elections.

One simpy has to understand how the Progressive 'feels'...

In the Hussein HealthsCare game... they felt that they could use illicit means to pass something that truly did not even exist... then they did so.

When the would-be 'bill' passed... few if any of the Senators who voted on it had ever read it; none of the representatives who voted to pass it, had voted on the bill at all prior to passing what the SENATE had created; and of course few of any of those who voted to pass the SENATE BILL had read the bill.

What's more the bill was not even COMPLETE... they essentially passed what amounts to a loosely pinned together abstract...

The bill represents an IDEA which will now be revised, added to and expanded and revised and expanded until, as all parasitic Leftist policy does; it consumes the host on which it feeds... Read: Medicare, Medicaid, SS... The distinction being that this monster makes those failures look like IPOs for Apple...

Now this nation is a Constitutional Republic; and what the Left did buy passing this would-be abstract is to overtly, openly, intentionally biligerently DEFY the restraints placed upon the Legislature; in effect rendering those restraints null and void...

Remember the arguments on Deem and Consent; or Pass? every Leftist argument which advocated for this tactic leaned on one thing and one thing only; that thing was PRECEDENT.

And look what we have now... despite there being NO precedent for such; with regard to an entire omnibus bill representing TRILLIONS in spending... they have now established precedent for such; thus where they were previously able to pass that Hussein HeathsCare game... on a loose precedential basis... they now feel that they've a very strong precedential basis for doing the same damn thing again and again.

In effect tossing the US Constitution to the wind... having no established what amounts to a government which CONSTRUES the law to be whatever they need the law to be...

Of course this is America and the game is over already... November is the end of the Left's legislative majority; and President Hussein will in November be rendered a Lame Duck for the balance of her term.

Significant Conservative Legislative Majorities will simply not fund the HealthsCare scheme; as the various lawsuits work their way down the fast track to the SCOTUS... where they'll officially be rendered moot and in 2012, the US Government returns in finality to American hands.

The problem of the Progressive however does not go away. Thus as they did before, the Moderate Politicians jump from D's to R's; they'll run as soft conservatives and once in office they'll govern as they always do, as soft headed Leftist; voting for more spending for every conceivable nicey nicety... so they can return to the campaign to appeal to the legions of idiots who mistakenly believe that 'the government's job is to give them something for free'...

Thus it is THAT menace which represents the greatest threat to the viability of America; those schmoes who have been indoctrinated into Left-think; who were never educated on the immutable principles of nature; on their God given human rights and the intrinsic responsibilities inherent in such... and there are tens of MILLIONS of these idiots.

Dozens and dozens of them on this site... Most of which stand on the misnomer that they represent something akin to "conservatism"... they think of themselves as 'Moderates.'... Centrists; mainstream progressives... the advocates of Political Compromise; finding the MIDDLE WAY... taking a little of the best ideads coming from the RIGHT and a little of the best ideas coming from the WRONG... blending it together so everyone can be happy...

They're advocates of the THIRD WAY... Those who clammer for scrapping the two party system... for three four five parties. Where peoples VOTE can really mean something!

And where the likelihood of cranks like Hussein and camp to come to office time and time again... on a 34%, or 26% or 13% majority vote.

Where they must then find a governing coalition which further relies upon COMPROMISING with BAD IDEAS, WRONG IDEAS AND UTTERLY STUPID IDEAS; to maintain power.

Of course, the way around that, is to return to our Constitution; scrap the education system; outlaw union activity in any public sectorl across the board and double outlaw it within education; return to core education of the three Rs, introduce extensive education in finance, economics, actual American and world history; strip the system of all perspectives originating from Political Correctness etc...

If we as a culture do not come to grips with the indisputable fact that Left-think is anti-American; that socialism is a foreign notion that is not going to be tolerated here, then America will vanish...

And that's all we're really talking about...

'teabaggers' are people that have nut sacks on their chins.

I'll thank you not to use that term again editec.

There's a perfect example of TMI, let me tell you. Plus an image I didn't need to have thrust into my head this AM.

STill...I Didn't mean to insult you or the attendees of the teaparties, either Xeno.

How about teabaggonians?

Teabaggites?

Teabaggoids?

What term serves to describe those people that isn't an insult?

Blind anti-government hatred, mostly.

I'd say there are probably a few that represent that, but most are just people that want to adhere to the constitution. They look at what the federal government has become and are repulsed by the bloated, over-reaching corruption they're seeing. Do you like what the federal government has become and how it operates?

If the GOP thinks the public hates the Healthcare plan let them run on repealing it.

Let them tell voters they want to take away their coverage

The 1965 Civil Rights bill pissed off a LOT of voters...so much so they abandoned the Democrats in droves.

This is actually false, let me correct you

most of the democrats went back to being democrats

it wasn't until years later that the republican gained members and it had nothing to do with civil rights. Most Americans wanted civil, yes bode, including republicans.

The republicans were the first to introduce a civil rights bill which the democrats stole.

What you have to understand is that Ed's response is a means to get you to compromise with her wrong-headed ideas...

Ed feels that when she extends the over-arching definition of Blind Anti-Government Hatred... that you'll respond as you did by conceding that 'some of the people may be that way...' therein giving Ed what she needed... a means to paint the tea-party movement as Anarchists out to destroy the US Government.

There is NOTHING ABOUT THE TEA-PARTY MOVEMENT WHICH IN ANY WAY, ON ANY LEVEL... stands as ANTI-GOVERNMENT.

PERIOD.

The tea-party movement is SOLELY, WHOLLY, WITHOUT EXCEPTION:

ANTI-SOCIALIST Government...

And this based upon the incontrovertible fact that Left-think... in all it's various degrees... is ANTI-AMERICAN.

Americans are proponents of virtuous, limited government... read our constitution and you'll see where we stand on it. We're all about sound, sustainable governance; we simply reject to the center of our beings... the attemts by the ideological left to scrap our sound, sustainable governmental construct and replace it with the current house of socialist cards.
