Lawmaker wants Ohio exempted from health plan

However, the Ohio Senate is controlled by the Republicans, so it is likely to get through there. He's not obstructing, he's simply expressing Ohio's sovereignty over the issue of healthcare.

Thats good for Ohio. I think any kind of govt backed healthcare should be on a state/local level and not a federal one. You have more of a chance to give feedback and interact with your state govt than you ever will with the senate or house.

If we started 50 different plans in January, 5 to 8 years from now we could see what works and what don't.

We already have that and one more for DC. 51.

All this will be moot in ten years when private insurance rates double once again and half of America becomes uninsured.

Okay, if Obama wanted to help the medical industry he would not allow the regulation groups to charge the pharm companies so much money, nor allow them to stop safe alternatives and less expensive medications from being sold in the US. It's simple really, he doesn't want to help the cost, he just wants to give the government more control over who is covered how, why? I don't give a fuck, his plan is plain stupid.

Another obstructionist time waster caught in the act.

:doubt:

Please remember that it was the states that created the Federal Govt... not the Fed that created the states...

Kev was 100% spot on in what he said
