USA State Secretary Hilary Clinton demanded that Latvian authorities should increase defense expenditure by its own effort!
How come? In midst of economic crisis we have to spend all the money on defense, curtailing many social projects, rising retirement age in this country and doing other things of the sort which btw force many Europeans to the streets in protest actions!!
Then who should we actually defend against I wonder? Precious Russians or who? I think that amid the crisis we'd rather improve our relationship with Russia ... well... to get some credits from it.... 'course EU itself is on the rocks as you know....
