I work with four Mexicans. Three male and one female. All four excellent engineers. In fact, there is a female engineer from Bolivia, a male from Pakistan, two males from China, one male from Korea, a woman engineer from this country, and another male engineer from Ireland.

Too many engineers just aren't from this country. People in America want to study "accounting" or they want to become lawyers.

So if Mexicans want to become engineers or doctors or some other professional, good. They aren't taking the place of white people. If you are smart enough, you can compete. That is, if you are smart enough.

The inventor of the "Segway" was on 60 Minutes a few years ago and said that too many young blacks think their going to be basketball stars and waste their lives shooting hoops when so many engineering jobs went unfilled that year. Americans are brainwashed into a fantasy life that real jobs get away from them. So, of course, they turn to drugs and become statistics in jails or clinics.

Not just "young blacks". How many right winger Christians believe universities and colleges are "hotbeds" of communistic ideals and socialism? How many believe "education" is "just a piece of paper". How many believe "science" is "slanted" towards the left?

They believe there is a controversy in evolution and all the surrounding sciences.

They believe in such nonsense as mysticism and the supernatural.

Two of the Mexican engineers I work with have part time jobs. One tutors physics at a local university, the other handles another companies "data base". Both have to take annual or bi-annual competency tests to keep their two part time jobs. They're not taking jobs away from white Americans. Because here in Chicago, there aren't that many "white" Americans who in interested in those kinds of jobs.

Here in the mid west, white Americans are concerned that Obama wants to take away their "wealth". Don't ask be "what wealth?", that part has never been clear.

The native people were killing, raping, ripping apart each other and they still are today. If the natives were peaceful people they would have gotten along with the European settlers but the native people can't even get along with each other. Just look at all the native gangs killing each other.

With 58% of all US welfare payments going to illegal immigrants, nearly 1/3 of all federal and state prisons are illegal immigrants - costing taxpayers over $1.6 billion annually, over 41% of all US unemployment checks go to illegal immigrants, over 43% of all issued food stamps go to illegal immigrants and less than 2% of all illegal immigrants in the US are working crop fields, but 41% are on welfare I think it's well past the time we need to be doing something to fix the problem.

But, you don't fix the problem by throwing everyone who's taken advantage of "the Golden Door" under the bus. Anymore then you'd grab a shotgun and go into the Shanty towns of the 19th century. Because that's what the extremists (or bigots) do.

That means you are either mistaken or "lying and bearing false witness", so unless the law has changed, and since you didn't add links, I suspect it hasn't, then saying that again will put your immortal soul in grave danger for all eternity if it hasn't already. Public schools suck, but there is an issue with reading, speaking, writing, and comprehension skills of young latino students with parents who speak little or no English. I'm not saying that by the time they get to HS it isn't behind them, but in the early years it is an issue that slows up classes to help the latino's catch up.
