In the moments before our beloved but highly politicized Supreme court rules it may be well to consider a few facts.

Fact: US healthcare is the most expensive in the world, costing just about twice as much as the nearest competitor.

Fact: Favorable outcomes are rated in the mid thirties compared to other nations. Our system being on par with third world nations.

Fact: The first 15 to 35% of our health care premium buys no health care at all. That is the price extracted in administration costs............and profit.

Fact: Overhead expenses for Medicare are roughly 3%.

Fact: The US is the only nation in the world that allows its healthcare to be driven by profit.

Fact: About 60% of all US bankruptcies come about due to medical costs.

Fact: Half of all those experiencing such medical bankruptcies had health insurance.

Fact At any given moment up to 20% of our population has no heath care at all.

Fact: A "pre existing" condition may be anything you have been treated for(or even seen a doctor about) before you lost your company insurance.

Fact: Insurance companies have entire departments staffed expressly for the purpose of denying or slowing up the payment of legitimate claims.

Fact: The overwhelming majority of constitutional experts maintain that the "mandate" is constitutional.

Fact: The original concept of the "mandate" originated with conservatives. (before they lost their collective minds)

Now relax and enjoy the show. It will be easier for you in you now have company paid insurance. Enjoy that while you can it will surely not last.

If you don't have such insurance, remember that come November.

Funny, the only "fact" here that has anything to do with the court is citing the "opinions" of people specifically NOT on th court. The rest is irrelevant.

I just fact-checked one of your "facts" at random, and it is bogus.

They concluded that 62.1 percent of the bankruptcies were medically related because the individuals either had more than $5,000 (or 10 percent of their pretax income) in medical bills, mortgaged their home to pay for medical bills, or lost significant income due to an illness.

Medical bills prompt more than 60 percent of U.S. bankruptcies - CNN

Losing significant income due to an illness has exactly zero to do with health care cost.

So why is it included in the study?

To inflate the results, of course.

Wow, all of these "facts" and not one shred of proof to back even one "fact" up.

I wonder why?

I need some dental work done due to negelect on my part. An implant cost $4,000, that is insane. A root canal and crown are $2500. I will happily pay a reasonable fee fore service but these dental cost are insame. If you go to the hosital they will bankrupt you with test beforfe the treatment even begins. Doctor cured people without cat scans but they are used not for evrything. My wife's ex doctor want to do a cat scan to look at her knee. She told him a horse has rolled on it 30 years ago and she is in her mid 60;s. I should have studied to become a doctor or attorney.

Two blogs and a Political Action Committee. What a surprise.

Why does the PAC site that you linked to not link to even one of their "sources"?

Do you believe every piece of unsourced information you read just because someone calls it a "fact?"

So, I'm just supposed to ignore the fact that after you were asked to post links to prove your OP you posted three links, two of which were opinion pieces posted as blogs and the third was a PAC that conveniently posted links to ZERO studies that it sourced?

Yes, I looked at your first attempt to link to a credible source for your information, and I found the site where you reposted your information from (which by the way is against board rules without a link.) And that site posted that list with no links to their sources, so why should I trust you enough after that to read the next batch of links you post?

Especially after another poster has already picked two random points from your OP and disproved them.
