Last Election: Buyers' Remorse over Republicans

You lefties sure have a vivid imagination or maybe you have nothing left but Alinsky (rules for radicals) tactics. Democrats had been in the majority for four years right through the collapse of Fannie Mae and Obama had been in in office for two (long long long) years. Democrats had total majority in congress for two years and their programs were viewed correctly by voters as abject failures. Americans were so incensed about the self-serving democrat party that they kicked the majority out in the biggest mid-term landslide in 65 years.

The delusion that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence - no matter which side of the fence one is standing on when observing the grass. My preference -- vote for anyone who isn't running.

Most voters don't like voting for Republicans or Democrats. They vote for one then the other, hoping something has changed but it doesn't. The reason why nothing changes is that politicians are indebted to their supports, big business and special interest groups, not the voters. They promise voters the world but deliver only what their supports want. Nothing will change, until we change the way campaigns are financed.

And you fell for hopey changey hook line and STINKER.:eusa_whistle:

Haven't seen anyone I could vote for in a very long time.

But the Republican Governors are doing exactly what they have to do. They are cutting spending. They are cutting spending because they understand that they don't have the money to pay for everything. Obamarama and company haven't learned this yet. So yes I can see where people are pissed. Sorry about that shit. We have to stop spending money we don't have at all levels of Government.

In Florida, the gov cut 1.7 billion and then gave the top 3% 1.5 billion in tax cuts. So the budget was actually cut by 0.2 billion.

Ryan's budget cuts 5 trillion and then gives the top 5% 4 trillion in tax cuts. Because of this, under his budget, the deficit balloons to over 20 trillion in the next 10 years.

White wingers need to take a look at what their leaders are really saying and doing.

Oh wait, you didn’t… That shirt does not say Started a war, expanded Afghanistan, expanded Homeland security, divided the country further, ballooned the deficit, bail out rich, lied about ending Iraq war, supported secret prisons and torture and passed the Bush tax cuts.

the bolded is something Dean and his Far Left and Right Comrads are all for.....so he wont coment about that.....he loves that part....

The white wing is divided from "reality". Nothing the left did.

Obama never lied us into war. He didn't hid the cost of two wars. He didn't give out trillions in tax cuts without balancing cuts. Obama didn't declare "martial law". Obama helped the unemployed get benefits Republicans threatened to cut.

Obama's big crime is that he is black. The Republican Party is 90% white. See a "connection? Duh!

Obama and McCain both looked like four more years of Bush so I voted third party.

Thanks.... you helped Obama win :doubt:

But then, you hate Isreal.... so guess you won in the end didnt you?

:eusa_whistle:

So, did you really like McCain?

The way I looked at it, it would make no difference if Obama or McCain won.

Sure it did. If McCain had won, The democrats would be on my side as I criticized him. I wouldn't like that.

Obama didn't declare "martial law".
Who said he did?

Obama helped the unemployed get benefits Republicans threatened to cut.

Like when obama threaten to starve military families with his veto?

And approximately 85% of them can't deal with the fact that a Black man is having dinner in the White House rather than serving it.

Here is the problem for the Republicans; they came in screaming how the deficit is out of control and it's all the Democrats fault. They used the same old blame game that both parties continue to use against each other. Once they won, they thought they had a mandate to cut everything under the sun. Well, they don't.

Let's start with something very important. As of last year, SS, Medicare/Medicaid, Defense, and interest on our debt cost more than the government brought in. Just with these four items the federal government was in the red. As for other discretionary spending, there just is no way to cut everything. It's not going to happen. So to begin, some of the cuts will have to come from Defense, SS, and Medicare/Medicaid. Unfortunately, we can't start cutting into those immediately. Well, we could, but it would never go over with voters.

The bottom line is that the mandate the Tea Party and the Republicans thought they had doesn't exist. And now that they have started showing what they want to cut and how they want to do it, well, it's not going over very well. Yes, cuts need to be made. But taxes also must be increased, and the cuts are going to have to be long term cuts, not immediate ones. This is going to take some time. The key is to not destroy the economy in the process.

If the Republicans stay the course, 2012 is going to greet them with a very strong backlash. They will likely lose the House, and lose seats in the Senate. No matter what they do, it is becoming evident that Obama will be re-elected. Seeing what they want to cut and how they want to do it, voters will certainly keep Obama in as a check on them in case they do go to far. Now personally, that does not mean that I am jumping up and down for joy, because I realize we need to make some honest long term cuts. To get anything accomplished though, Republicans and Democrats are going to have to swallow their pride, and sit down to hammer out some concrete cuts that voters can swallow. They are also going to have to raise taxes a little bit. Giving up the Bush tax cuts would be in the best interest of everyone, and I don't think there would be that big of an outcry from the public, even those who will have to pay a bit more.

no i think it would be a lot less....lets just say the FAR right.....the great majority of Republicans could care less about the guys color......they just dont like his policies.....but then if your a FAR leftist like Dean....if you object to anything Obama does....its because he is black....hence my reference to people like Dean....Far Left and his buddies on the other side, the FAR Right.....want to keep the Country divided.....maybe being from Frisco you cant comprehend that.....

Everytime they raise taxes they always spend more than they take in. and obama wants to raise the spend limit? I say lower the spending limit and that will prove the democrats want to fix this mess they created.

Lets go back and see if we can FIND a PPP poll on how the Obama and his comrades in Arms were rated in the FIRST FOUR MONTHS OF his Presidency..

what a FRIGGEN JOKE...:lol::eusa_whistle:

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Rick Scott, the conservative Republican billionaire who plucked the governor’s job from the party establishment in November with $73 million of his own money and the backing of the Tea Party, vowed during his campaign to run the troubled state like a corporate chief executive (which he was) and not a politician (which he proudly says he is not).

PPP's newest national poll finds that after a little more than 3 months in charge House Republicans have fallen so far out of favor with the American public that it's entirely possible Democrats could take control of the House back next year.

PPP? What kind of Marxist propaganda organ is that?

There is no spending limit other than what the debt ceiling allows and that is an arbitrary number set by a previous Congress, but one that can be increased if necessary, which it is at the moment. So the real question to begin with is "Do you have any clue what you are talking about"?

It has been like that forever. We vote in the Repubs until we get sick and tired of them. Then we vote in the Dems until we get sick and tired of them. Then we vote in the Repubs...

We vote against people more than we vote for people. We are afraid to vote for people we really want.

I believe that the OPs point is that never have so many gotten so sick so quickly. It's only been what...four months now and already these douche nozzles like Wanker and that crook in Florida are more unpopular than George Bush at a Code Pink rally.
