Last defense bill included aid for Ukraine, which the dems voted against

Here is the vote

Yeas:
Schiff
Jeffries
Demings

Nays:
Nadler
Lofgren

The bill was ultimately passed by both Democrats and Republicans. As to why Nadler and Lofgren didn't vote for the bill most likely had little to do with Ukraine since that was a small portion of the Appropriations bill.

Actually after the bill went into conference with the senate they all voted for the bill. That vote can be found here:

http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2018/roll405.xml

So, in the end they all voted for for the Ukraine funding. However that has no bearing here. At hand is Trump holding back funding that Congress had approved for his own personal benefit. It makes no difference how the individual House members voted even though it looks like Ernst is being purposefully dishonest and she relies on the numbnuts like the guy who started this thread not to look into what she says any further.

That's the FY 2019 bill, which was signed in 2018. Not the most recent one they voted against.

That's for the FY 2020. For the FY 2019 of the NNDA, Nadler, Lofgrun, and Jeffries all voted "No."

Nadler, Jeffries, and Lofgren apparently voted "No" in the FY 2017 NNDA as well:

How about FY 2016?

Dude, they voted for the initial funding. The NDAA is about a lot more than Ukraine. Ernst is playing dirty tricks here by somehow implying they are hypocrites, she and you should know better.

In the end this has nothing to do with Trump not using the money as it was intended until he got caught trying to hold it over Ukraine's head for personal gain.

You mean like Joe Biden did, right? At least Biden was honest enough to admit it, eh?

:laughing0301:

No, what aid did Biden hold up?

It was loan guarantees and the prosecutor was not looking into Hunter's 'corrupt dealings' as he wasn't even at the company when it happened plus the investigation under the corrupt prosecutor went dormant anyway.

On top of that Biden wasn't acting alone. Unlike Trump he had the full backing of the U.S. government not to mention the IMF, the E.U. and anti-corruption activists in the Ukraine. What Biden did was actually help eliminate an element of corruption in the Ukraine government as opposed to Trump who tried to insert his own corruption.

When Russia invaded the Donbass region of Ukraine in 2014, there were 12,800–13,000 casualties. 3,344 of those were civilians.

And Obama stood there with holding his dick and his thumb up his ass, refusing to send Ukraine lethal military aid.

the United States under Obama did provide extensive military and security aid but not lethal weapons.

Extensive eh.... Please provide a detailed list of what was provided.

Whether I like Trump or not is irrelevant and this whole conversation is nothing more than a futile exercise in political masturbation, which I'm not interested in.

Regardless of the Democrat's shitshow, Donald J. Trump will be the winner of the 2020 presidential election, and that, like it or not, you can take to the bank.

Joni Ernst: Several Democrat House Impeachment Managers Voted Against ‘Lethal Aid’ for Ukraine

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) told reporters during a break in the Senate trial of President Donald Trump on Thursday that several of the House Democrat impeachment managers had voted against bills providing “lethal aid” to Ukraine.

Democrats have accused Trump of abandoning Ukraine by holding aid for several weeks over the summer of 2019. Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) even accused the president, falsely, of causing the deaths of Ukrainian soldiers.

In fact, Trump had previously sent Javelin anti-tank missiles to Ukraine, unlike President Barack Obama, who had only provided non-lethal aid.

Moreover, Ukraine did not even know about the hold on the aid until it was reported in the media several weeks later. And witnesses in the House of Representatives impeachment inquiry testified that the hold did not affect the Javelins.

Ernst made it clear she was irritated with what she portrayed as hypocrisy by the Democrats.

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), she said, voted against the most recent National Defense Authorization Act, “which included lethal aid to Ukraine.” Reps. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), Hakeem Jeffreys (D-NY), and Nadler (D-NY) voted against the last one, which also included such spending.

What the dem accuse others of they are engaging in

Just fake news - without the full context.

Agreed. This is cherry picking grandstanding. Aid to the Ukraine was PART of the defense bill that they voted against. I'm pretty sure that the aid to the Ukraine wasn't the main reason they voted against it. And, instead of accusing them, why not ask them why they voted against the defense bill? I'm pretty sure aid isn't the main reason. They probably voted against it because it diverted funds from the military to the border wall.
So now ukraine has been reduced to the level it really deserved. Is that what you're sayin.

I hear Russian soldiers run away in fear if you wave a blanket at them.

2 farts in a wind tunnel ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

By March 2015, the US had committed more than $120 million in security assistance for Ukraine and had pledged an additional $75 million worth of equipment including UAVs, counter-mortar radars, night vision devices and medical supplies, according to the Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
That assistance also included some 230 armored Humvee vehicles.
But nothing that would kill a Russian soldier.

Like President Obama - they were only against "lethal" aid.
So they didn't want the Ukraine to be able to defend themselves.

I'm not smart enough to predict what's going to happen in the upcoming election. What I do know is that you need a Trump win more than I need a new president. You guys go out of your way to lie to yourself. At one time I honestly thought Trump supporters knew they were accepting lies as the truth. Now I think it's been so long since you've had to deal with the reality of truth that you can't tell the difference.

What does matter is the funding passed and Trump held the money up for personal political gain and that is abuse of power. I'm not sure why you guys have to travel so far to make such a minor point. Probably it's because that's all you've got.

I also gain by that.

How did Trump fight corruption? How is that investigation by Ukraine into the Biden's going now that they got their money? The bullshit you people believe in.

Hey JoyBoi, Trump gave them the aide the Dimwingers voted against. You can try to spin it any way you want, but you lose.

Trump gave the Ukraine LETHAL MILITARY AID, Barry Hussein gave them blankets.
