Las Vegas resort sues tea party group over hotel bill

Some Tennessee tea partiers are in hot water with a Las Vegas gambling resort that's accusing them of skipping out on a big hotel bill.

On Monday Venetian Casino Resort, LLC., filed suit against Tea Party Nation Corporation of Franklin, Tenn., alleging the group owes $642,144.

Hmmm, that sounds about right. The right-nuts think they deserve a free ride in life, that people should work for free, and give them free vacation rentals. They never saw a handout they didn't like.

Actually they never attended the event, as it was cancelled. The suit is over the contractural requirement to pay for the reserved rooms that were not used due to the cancellation, plus interest.

Next time try reading the article, or if you did, try not to misrepresent the actual event.

You have that 180 degrees wrong. And I'm fairly positive that you are aware of that. I could be wrong though.

I sincerely hope this group didn't run up such a bill. I'm rather curious why a Tennesse Tea party group had to go to Vegas for anything though.

Thats a heck of alot of money for a canceled trip. And if it was canceled their were no reserved rooms so they are going to have a hard time proving it.

its seems they booked 1800 "room nights" in advance. Depending on the contract and when you cancel you can be held liable for the value of the rooms.

If it was a 4 night event thats a block of 450 rooms, which for a large event is about right. Assuming 600k for the bill it runs about 330 bucks a room, a night, which for a top line vegas hotel with zero discount is about right.

It all depends on how the booking contract was written up.

Still it is skipping out on a contractual obligation they made.

Sounds like it, all depends on the contract, which we don't have access too. OP is still being misleading with his writing about it though.

Unfortunately both sides do this because one must choose one side or the other. Being independant will get you no where because of this crap system.

Unless you can get a 3rd party set up that can win, you basically waste your vote, and you are STILL screwed by them. The best you can do is play spoiler, vote for your guy, and if he gets close to around 25%, split the vote from the 2-partier that is closer to your position, and BAM!, the guy you really dont like wins.

I vote my concience for the one I feel will be the least destructive to my country.

I have not voted FOR anyone on a national level since Ross.

Someone signed the Contract. It will be interesting if we ever find out who, and if the who who signed was flim-flamed. The flim-flamer is the person we all should know by name.
