...and so the spin from the Right starts. If he talks to people who agree with Trump, then he is getting to the root of the problem of border security. If they disagree with Trump, it is because they have been bullied by Trump's enemies. This is actually somewhat credible because damned near everybody is one of Trump's enemies.

The political stucture of Laredo is so that the City Manager has a position equal to that of the mayor himself. The posting of mayor is non-partisan in that city.
