So the mudslinging in the LA Senate runoff has begun, and the democrats start off with the sting of a backfire.

Landrieu Attack On Cassidy Backfires Horribly The Daily Caller

Landrieu then proceeded to ask, “When this hospital needed a champion to build and rebuild, literally out of the rubble of Katrina and Rita, where was Sen. Landrieu? Standing here and fighting. Where was Bill?”

She even tweeted, “When the New Orleans #VA hospital needed to be rebuilt out of the rubble of Katrina & Rita, #WhereWasBill?” with a link to a press coverage of her news conference.

The attack was an odd one to make, considering Cassidy wasn’t involved in politics at the time. He wasn’t elected to Louisiana’s state Senate until 2006 and Congress until 2008, while hurricanes Katrina and Rita hit the state in 2005.

The next day, Rep. Bill Cassidy told Louisianans where he was. At the time of Katrina and Rita, Cassidy was a medical doctor in Baton Rogue, he wrote on Twitter. Moreover, immediately after Katrina hit, Cassidy took the initiative in setting up a makeshift emergency hospital in an abandoned K-Mart to administer aid and care for victims.

Whoops.

see ya mary...as Louisiana goes "red" in a couple of weeks.

Yes, and in spite of her desperate attempts by suddenly supporting the Keystone XL pipeline, she is still failing:  ( updated 9:45, November 14, 2014 )

'Her campaign is running on fumes': Final Senate race looks to be a Louisiana laugher as internal polls show GOP's Bill Cassidy opening up 16-point lead over Sen. Mary Landrieu
  • Poll commissioned by GOP candidate's campaign shows massive advantage leading up to Dec. 6 runoff

  • Win by GOP Rep. Bill Cassidy would bring total Republican pickup to a whopping 10 seats

  • Landrieu is hoping a long-awaited vote on the Keystone XL pipeline will improve her fortunes

  • Poll was leaked in Washington to send a message to energy lobbyists who think she can prevail

  • Survey is an 'automated' phone poll that Landrieu's campaign considers less credible than traditional surveys conducted by voice

  • 'Her campaign is running on fumes,' the pollster told MailOnline

Miss Piggy sure screwed that one up. Desperate folks do stupid things.

Looks like the dims lose another one. Thank you Barry for each and every one of your policies they tried to run from. Hope is long gone but at least we now know what you meant by "change," and appreciate it very much, jerkoff.

This administration is turning into the D equivalent of the Hoover Administration or maybe even the Buchanan administration.

After 20+ calls from the Cassidy campaign, asking me who I was going to vote for in the first round, I finally said Landrieu.

Haven't gotten another robocall from them.

I think there is a lesson here!

She is trying to change her stripes to save her ass.................Lying her ass off to do so.

Liberals are always their own worst enemies................BYE BYE MARY.

She even desperately voted against Harry Reid as minority leader in the new Senate.

Too late.

No matter how the Supremes rule on the Ocare subsidies, I suspect the black caucus in the house and senate will trend more heavily red each election from here on out because of immigration and climate change, Those two issues hurt blacks more than whites.and counterwise Keystone is becoming a bad issue for Rs. Shipping high priced energy when energy prices are collapsing is very bad policy.

Landrieu and Pryor, in Arkansas, were never Liberal and both so feared association with Obama, it's good riddance.

You guys realize if Landrieu loses, it will be a mandate for the Democrats, because as we all know a large voter turnout or a small voter turnout will prove once and for all a Landrieu loss is a big gain for the Democrats, because of minimum wage and the the wars the GOP has on women, blacks and gays. So, just remember the bigger she loses the bigger the democrats will claim victory.

One lefty has already said good riddance. She was bad for Democrats, she won't be missed. I guess political junk would rather see a republican in office over democrat

Perhaps she will soon announce that she will caucus with the Republicans, and she will change to Republican. It's an unlikely possibility due to her family history, and likely would not help her much.
