every first weekend in october the land of oz is opened for the young at heart..this is my 6th year working at oz....

my view on saturday morning as i enter oz

the people who make it all work...arrive

i was given a poppy due to being in costume....

we had some new cast members:

the professor had several jobs: including hooking up the gas for the water for our booth

cast members: i wished i had time to photo the tin man....it takes about 40 minutes to get him suited up...two helpers are normally needed:

a palace guard and the wicked witch:

these ladies were on break from the show, when i ask for a pic ...now i am staff and they are inside but look how quickly they go into character with smiles and all....

saturday was great...weather was wonderful...sunday.....40 degrees with heavy fog.....heavy fog:

i didnt take pics of the house....no that is the museum that is maintained for the oz fest....

dorothy's house is always packed ....so no pics of that....

i am always amazed...i have worked there 6 seasons and i am considered a newbie....one cast member has been there 16 years...we have kids who have gone from lollipops kids and muckins into adult characters....theater people come from all over the east coast to do this....mainly for the love of doing it
