Kudos to Putin for admitting he made mistake trusting America.

Mr President, you were very critical about the West’s policy regarding its relations with
Russia. Indeed, many aspects that you have touched upon call for an in-depth critical discussion. At the same time, we know that in any relationship – whether between countries or between people – both sides make mistakes. So I have a question. What political mistakes, in your opinion, has Russia made in its relations with the West over the past 15 years and what needs to be done, what conclusions need to be drawn for the future of these relations?

Vladimir Putin: Our most serious mistake in relations with the West is that we trusted you too much. And your mistake is that you took that trust as weakness and abused it. It is therefore necessary to put this behind us, turn the page and move on, building our relations on the basis of mutual respect and treating each other as equal partners of equal value.
Meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club (Kremlin site)
BTW, ^ this is a site with Putin's answers to all kinds of questions about everything which is going on now in the world (Syria, NK, Ukraine, relationship with US, and so on and on). If anybody wants to know what Putin thinks about that, take a chance to find it out. I'm posting that just because Western Media either doesn't inform its audience about that or informs with bias.

the one thing that has me scracthing my head is Putin ALSO said he supports Israel.SO i dont know if we can trust him anymore than we could on Obama or Bush, that he might be two faced, whats your thoughts on that?

He was asked about Trump too.

Andrei Sushentsov: Andrei Sushentsov, MGIMO University, Valdai Club.
Mr President, a years ago you said you were ready to work with any US president and that you did not know what kind of president Mr Trump would be if he won. The impression is that Trump is breaking all records in unpredictability. And it seems that cooperation with Hillary Clinton perhaps would have been more comprehensible. What is your take on this situation?

Vladimir Putin: We do not know how things could have turned out in reality either, do we?

With regard to the incumbent president, as I said a year ago – and I can repeat this now – we will do our job. And I am saying now: we are working with the president that the American people have elected. As for unpredictability, he is not the only one to blame. It also has to do with the intense opposition in the country.

After all, he is being prevented from carrying out any of his election platforms and plans. In health care, in other spheres. The moment he makes a decision on migrants, a court immediately blocks it. This is happening all the time. So to say that he is the only source of this unpredictability – no, this depends on the entire US political system. Nevertheless, we will work with the partners that we have.

The United States is a great power, the world’s largest economic and military power. We will continue working despite all difficulties. That is, of course, if they also want this. If they do not, we will not.

Putin always says Russia will work with EVERYBODY who wants to work with Russia,
Putin: but our advantage is that we never play double games with anyone. We are always honest in relationships with our partners. We voice our opinions openly.

If we do not agree with something, we will say it directly that our opinion is this and this. We take your views into account, we respect them but we will do this and this. That gives us a great advantage because we are predictable, unlike many other countries. I think this, and not our military potential, is exactly what motivates our partners to develop relations with Russia.

Are you one of those Russian Trolls that are invading the internet?

He's an Anti-Russian, Ukrainian troll, who posts the same pictures and same fake info in his numerous threads. The content of those threads is basically the same, only names are different. You can find those threads in each corner of USMB.

It was about Litwin, who has littered USMB with his anti-Russian [Ukrainian] propaganda. Ukrainian officials must be pretty desperate to hire such a dumb troll.

Russia's Putin Reveals His Biggest Mistake: Trusting the West
An ex-KGB Communist who has his political opponents arrested and or assassinated ? Yeah the US has the most corrupt Government in the world.
And who told you that? Let me guess: your reliable Western Media.

FYI, Putin's political opponents are not only alive and doing well but have lots of seats in Russian parliament (Duma): Communist party, Liberal party and Socialist party. If you are talking about assassinated Nemtsov, he was a valuable politician in 90-s and was more interested in girls 30 years his junior than in politics (in fact he was with one of them, Anna Duritskaya, a Ukrainian citizen, the moment he was killed) and he had ZERO influence in politics by the time he was killed. So whoever killed him had sacrificed a pawn to get the king.

Too bad Western countries love to declare all kinds of Russian criminals “victims of Putin’s regime” and to shelter them. But morons and criminals remain morons and criminals regardless of the country they currently reside. For some reason when they start violating the laws in Western countries, they immediately stop being “political refugees” and are thrown to prison. Here is another recent example of such double standards.

Nobody gets elected who doesn't belong to the real powers. Trump is playing a part and doing it very well. He is the shiny object being used to distract the people.

Just this week:
1) Our Cruisers off NK were told to arm their missiles
2) Our Nuclear Bombers were put on 24 hour status
3) Our troops in SK were put on alert
4) Trump ordered a shit load of planes
5) Trump signed a directive allowing for the recall of up to 1000 pilots.
