Kucinich folds....as expected

I wonder how much that cost us? More than a trip on Air Force ONe. YOu betcha!

I'm sure barry had a conversation with denny that went along the lines of, "the journey begins with the first step. I want what you want denny, but we have to ease into it. We're going to get there, but not right now."
Ya gotta love the power of a trip on Air Force One.

Sounds about right to me.

Denny wants the public option. Thats the reason he wouldn't vote for this bill. No public option.

Ol'BO probably told him to vote for this because eventually it will lead to that public option.

Sounds just about right to me.

When this bill passes, I'm hoping the next Congress will cement the borders of this bill, so that its legs cannot start crawling toward a public option

It doesn't matter if he really took a bribe or not.

I know it doesn't matter for you, it's just about scoring cheap political points. The truth suffers in the meantime.

Actually it matters alot to me. Problem is it doesn't matter to you.

You have a problem decerning the truth Dog so don't start in on that issue.

My main consern here is the lack of accountablity by these people.

What's your price? How much is it going to take to get you to cave? That's all Obama wants to know. He doesn't give a flying-fuck about the will of the people. He's just doing what he wants......screw the voters. We can't believe a blessed thing the skinny prick says and he doesn't really care if he sounds disengenuous. He just says what he thinks we want to hear long enough to trick folks into not stopping him.

What a tool.

But, OTOH, being a good little party man apparatchik goes with the territory of being the kind of socialistic ideologue Kucinich is.

And what kind of tools are the 100% of Republicans voting against it?

Quit being a dumbass. This fight has been between the crazies in the Dem party and the few that have common-sense enough to reject this piece of shit bill.

The GOP has been out of it from day one.

waiting for yours.

Are you purposefully ignorant? You can't prove a negative. Idiot.

I also asked you for evidence first.

That's easy.

He gets on Airforce One claiming that in no way possible he's voting for this piece of shit.

He gets off Airforce One saying he has switched his vote to yes.

Anyone with an open mind knows something was said to him that changed his vote. He didn't just watch old Gilligan's Island reruns with Obama.

Maybe he promised him an entire collection of Star Trek DVDs. I know Dennis is a real Trekkie.

The reason they are rejecting it is because they want more added like the public option. I think Kucinich believes there will be one eventually. The other no votes have to do with abortion language.

I don't care about the abortion language. I think they should leave their own personal pov out of the legislation.

The other thing is that voters who want health reform don't care about the methods that brings it to Obama to sign. They want whoever is blocking it to stop but it will be forgotten by November once it is already passed. Even the Repub obstruction will be forgotten.

The GOP isn't out of it exactly, they say they are but they continue to threaten to obstruct by bringing up many ammendments, stuff like that. They are not out of it at all.

How much does it take to change a vote?

Just ask Dennis Kucinich.

Did he cave or was he promised a bribe of some sort.

Or was it both.

If I was in his state I would never vote for that two-faced lunatic again.

In the past one of his endearing traits was his failure to compromise his principles.

Well that image has gone out the window.

I wonder what it was that changed his mind? He just spent several minutes talking about what he didn't like in the bill. So why did he really change it????

You do know he was holding out because he wanted a stronger bill. You do realize this? Dont you? Are you new to this political thing?

Any idea why EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN said no to this bill? No pressure of course, they just were all in synch? Oh please. You must be new to this.

First of all Obama most likely promised Kucinich that the public option would be in there. This is a misnomer of course because public option will soon become single payer which is what they really want anyway which is no option at all. A complete takeover of health insurance in this country. That is what Obama wants and that is what Kucinich wants.

Second...this won't be forgotten because the effects will become immediately apparent. Higher taxes, less Medicare benefits, higher insurance costs, less coverage for those who have it already. Then the shitty part kicks in 4 years from now. That's when we'll really get nailed.

The GOP only has the public on it's side. They can't do much about this.....other not vote for it. They're exploring all options but they're quickly running out.

I think the Dems will suffer for a long time because of this. Mark my words.

Yes....I'm not stupid.

Everyone knows this.

And you would be foolish to assume that.

I share your confusion about his motivation.

He claims that while he still objects to this bill, he feels that the damage done to the Obama administration would be worse for the USA in the long run.

If that doesn't make sense to you, know that it doesn't make much sense to me either.

BTW..."mudwhistle" ? .... great handle.

Exactly. The Loony Left has tried to keep their "starter home" plan under wraps... but not always with great success. Glenn Beck had a little compilation of video the other night where we see a few of them let the cat out of the bag. If you haven't already seen it... watch it all. Transcripts are posted as well if you're without bandwidth:
Glenn Beck - Current Events & Politics - What Changed Dennis Kucinich's Mind?

The Dems took over banking, part of the auto industry, now health care. Next comes big-oil and the energy industry. They want to control everything. That way they don't have to worry about losing their majority ever again.

Whatever we need in our everyday lives they want to control it....have a say in it. They want to control what we eat, what we drink, what we smoke [they already control this]. They want in all respects total control over our bodies. Sounds like the stuff they accused Republicans of when it comes to abortion.
