Krauthammer: Be prepared for the most divisive campaign ever

This has been the most divisive PRESIDENCY this country has ever known. I doubt the campaign will be divisive. People will line up together on the side that will defeat socialism and save this country from the same fate as Europe!

Socialism didnt cause this mess republican policy did

There would be no austerity if the EU had not said that the wallet was folded shut and the lavish spending of the liberal governments would no longer be supported.

After Bush crashed the world economy.

Now they are realizing that following republican doctrine fucks you

Now that dream time is over let's look at what really fucked Europe. Greece in particular....

Most of the world's economic troubles originated in this country as the result of those derivatives.

Multi-national..means multi-national.

Um.....what? What on earth are you talking about? Which liberal governments?

Liberal governments in the UK, France and Germany?

I'm in the EU, by the way, so I can't wait to hear what it is you are attempting to explain here.

Blame Carter. He started the program that led to the financial institutions packaging debt the way they did in order to get rid of bad debt that was forced on them by the govt.

Austerity didn't lead to their fall TM. Spending did.

Don't let facts get in your way idiot.

Yeah..they did the same sort of bailouts for high fliers we did.

Damn those bailouts.

I dunno about their post crash decisions but I do know their spending prior to the crashes led them to that point.

They bailed out the banks.

Nothing about "spending" did anything to cause greedy assholes to fleece tax payers.

World wide.

A divisive campaign only reflects and exploits the divisions already present in the nation. obama has one unassailable argument, he is just another black man being villified and attacked by de wite folk.

Like the way the left attacked Herman Cain. He was the first on their hit list and I believe it's because they feared a real black man running against Obama. How can Obama win if they can't play the race card every day?

I hope Cain tries again next time. He is my favorite candidate of all and the only one I was actually happy about.

In fact, as Charles Krauthammer rightly observes, Barack Obama and his administration has spent much of its time shaping the battlefield for the most divisive presidential election in history:
....And, he's been given all the "ammo" he needs....quotes, in the form of videos....by that clown-car o' "conservative"-candidates who fought to be this Elections Republican throw-away/sacrificial Candidate.

I guess we Dems should be more thankful for all the "blessings" you've bestowed-upon-us!!

We'll try to make the Republican-Massacre Of 2012 as painless as we can manage.

You Republicans/Tories know the routine: Just close your eyes & think of England.

Yes it will be a devisive campaign. which is very strange considering how much alike in politics the two candidates are.
....Except, for the fact, Obama (actually) knows how to get the job done!

NARRATOR: Last month, Henry Paulson was replaced by President Obama's choice, Tim Geithner.

NEWSCASTER: The markets reacted with a 4 percent drop-

NARRATOR: Ben Bernanke will stay on at the Federal Reserve until at least 2010. So far, they have spent $350 billion to save the financial system.

NEWSCASTER: Two major banks sank deeper into the red-

NARRATOR: They have said they will spend trillions more.

NEWSCASTER: Thain paid out $4 billion-

NARRATOR: And still nobody knows if it will be enough.

NEWSCASTER: -and all eyes are now on Barack Obama to turn it around.

This will definitely be one of the most negative campaigns we have seen in awhile despite his wanting to act like he is above the fry Obama and his people have the Chicago style politics down and unlike McCain in 2008 Romney wont put anything off limits or hold back on Obama this will get very ugly very fast.

The best way to get them to refrain from such foolishness, is too hit them back harder then they swing.

If they come to understand a price must be paid, its natural for a leftie to want some one else to do it.

Even before this week’s economic indicators, the Obama campaign had signaled that it would do anything to distract voters from the economic malaise of Obamanomics. After today’s jobs report, that job will become tougher — but don’t expect Team Obama to change their strategy. In fact, as Charles Krauthammer rightly observes, Barack Obama and his administration has spent much of its time shaping the battlefield for the most divisive presidential election in history:

The entire Obama campaign is a slice-and-dice operation, pandering to one group after another, particularly those that elected Obama in 2008 — blacks, Hispanics, women, young people — and for whom the thrill is now gone.

What to do? Try fear. Create division, stir resentment, by whatever means necessary — bogus court challenges, dead-end Senate bills and a forest of straw men.

Why else would the Justice Department challenge the photo ID law in Texas? To charge Republicans with seeking to disenfranchise Hispanics and blacks, of course. But in 2008 the Supreme Court upheld a similar law from Indiana. And it wasn’t close: 6 to 3, the majority including the venerated liberal John Paul Stevens.

Moreover, photo IDs were recommended by the 2005 Commission on Federal Election Reform, co-chaired by Jimmy Carter. And you surely can’t get into the attorney general’s building without one. Are Stevens, Carter and Eric Holder anti-Hispanic and anti-black?
The ethnic bases covered, we proceed to the “war on women.” It sprang to public notice when a 30-year-old student at an elite law school (starting private-sector salary upon graduation: $160,000) was denied the inalienable right to have the rest of the citizenry (as co-insured and/or taxpayers — median household income: $52,000) pay for her contraception.

Despite a temporary setback — Hilary Rosen’s hastily surrendered war on moms — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will resume the battle with a Paycheck Fairness Act that practically encourages frivolous lawsuits and has zero chance of passage.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

nope Bush crashing the world economy gave them the mess.

Republicans gave them the plan to fix it and that plan tanked

Tell us all again how much debt Bush put this country in when he wouldn't stop spending. I honestly think you don't understand the word Austerity or what "Small Government" means. Bush and Obama's spending policies are very closely related. Name a single meaningful cut that Bush did on spending in 8 years please.

TM is up early and already frothing at the mouth, I see...

Look, it should come as no surprise that the Obama camp wants to change the narrative in this election to something other than jobs, the deficit and the economy. He's not viewed favorably by the American public on any of those issues. Quite frankly, most of that public have come to the conclusion that he's run out of ideas on how to fix our fiscal problems.

So what choice does he really have?

He'll run on a message of "social justice" and "fairness" because almost half of America is now getting assistance of some kind or another from government and Barry thinks he can appeal to THAT demographic with a message that in essence says...if you elect the other guys...the freebies are going to stop!
