    An interesting socio-poll made together with Isik University and Sabanci University.

    a representative selection of Turks were face-interviewed in cities like:

    İstanbul, Tekirdağ, Balıkesir, Bursa, Bilecik, İzmir, Denizli, Antalya, Kayseri, Adana, Eskişehir, Konya, Aksaray, Ankara, Zonguldak, Samsun, Rize, Erzurum, Kars, Van, Diyarbakır, Malatya, Gaziantep.

    Here are the results (if you are interested do not just overfly it):

    57.3 % // 42.7 %

    Sympathy with Military government rather than civil government
    40 %

    human rights should be restricted when State is in danger

    nationalists should be allowed to demonstrate on streets per se

    Latest Pew Poll regarding American image in the world.



    actual % before (...). Numbers in (....) are the numbers for the last poll. So it shows whether there is a decline or rise in american image in that country.


    Spain 23 % (41 %)
    India 56 % (71 %)
    Russia 43 % (52 %)
    Indonesia 30 % (38 %)
    Turkey 12 % (23 %)

    In 15 countries where this poll was made American Image is most bad in Turkey.

    Interesting...could it be that nearly ALL countries with large Muslim populations are going to show a decline in their liking for the US or even the West in general?

    Maybe we should take a poll in the US about how we view the rest of the world!
