Since we're talking Applebees here (and we go there alot, my kids love the place) I consider myself an expert on the childrens menu.

All of the drinks a child (5) orders off the childrens menu come in plastic cups with lids, except root beer which they bring in a glass bottle.

If a waitress brought my child a tall glass I would immediatelly be suspicious. If this mother wasn't paying attention to what her child was drinking than shame on her, it's certainly not worth $75,000 from the restaurant.

Yes Applebees should take some responsibility, but so should the parents.
