Khashoggi outcry by left

I’m just trying to figure out how this is a USA issue?
It’s an issue for the United States because its president is refusing to acknowledge the fact that the Saudi government had a journalist killed because he was a critic of the regime, a president so desperate to appease a brutal, authoritarian government that he refuses to promote one of our most fundamental principles: the importance of a free press.

That the blind partisan right and Trump sycophants can’t understand this comes as no surprise.
Happens everyday over there. Where was obammy with the way women are treated? We’re better than that right? We don’t go to war with allies. Period. Fk man you didn’t want fair deals with our allies, this is Saudi business, not ours. Where’s the UN? We went to war with Joseph Stalin who killed millions of his own people.

I think the president is concerned for america, so you want to pay 20 dollar a gallon gas? Really? For something that’s not ours? Really? That’s selfish of you to put that on us!

We’re “supposed to” feel sorry for the Muslim Brotherhood terror sympathizer who worked at WaPo.
:rolleyes-41:

What was a guy like that doing working for the WaPo?

Oh I forgot, it was the WaPo. :321:

he was on assignment in a very dangerous place doing something candy ass RW's dont have the guts to do.
No he wasn't on assignnent. He was in Turkey to get married to a Turkish woman. He went to the Saudi embassy to get copies of his divorce papers so he could get a marriage license.

and if obama or someone the left didn't hate were president, you'd not even know this guys name.

seems people only get mad at shit that they're told to get mad at so they can show support for "their side".

Much greater than Benghazi and four dead Americans. Last time I looked Khashoggi was at a Saudi Arabia consulate! Why? He was Saudi native, not American. Again, anti America hate!
It's like John McCain's dead all over again

And he was there because he’s Saudi not American

Trump before getting elected by Putin: I'm gonna be tough on the Saudis.
Trump after the elections: I'm going to visit our Saudi friends and dance with them holding a sword.

Just look at that stupid face....is that a face of someone sane? heeeeeeeeeeeeell no.
Last time I checked, trump was president of the US not Saudi Arabia. How is the death of a Saudi citizen his issue?
1. The journalist is a resident of the US.
2. Saudi Arabia os protected by the US tax payers money.
3. He is responsible to check on the well being of anyone who pays federal taxes.
4. He promised he will be tough on Saudi arabia... when ? This is a golden opportunity to do so.
5. He already sent Pompeo, so that's a good step. No?

Optics.
Much of the US still wants to try and maintain a modest degree of integrity.
after the kavanaugh hearings, bwahahs

all talk, one way.
This transcends partisan politics.
America is dropping all pretense to being a moral standard in the world.
then stop doing partisan politics n demanding the liberal way or no civility.

Eh, another dead Muslim. Whatcha gonna do? They all need to go extinct. It's no wonder God flooded the middle east once to kill off man.

Sorry to see you succumb to hatred and bigotry, gramps.

So, let's use the deashs of four Americans killed in an attack on a US Consulate in a war torn area ass an excuse for the Saudi Government to assassinate a member of the press.

The US used to care about human rights. Trump has said that we no longer care what other countries do to their people.

This is what we get.

Why should I be bothered? I'm happy when journalist vermin die and I'm happy when muslim vermin die, because there's plenty more vermin to take their place in both cases.

Quite lying. Republicans have also spoken out against the Saudi role in Khassogi's death.

___________

Long story, very complicated, reduced to it simplest form:

Obama (and thus Democrat/Socialists all over America) support Iran and the Ayatollahs, who stand to benefit from any split between the U. S. and Saudi Arabia.

Were you born dumb or did that happen later? The fact is that Defense Secretary Mattiss was against withdrawing from the agreement as well.

You have a strange idea of what a ally is. Allies don't kill American citizens. That makes it our business. We should conduct our investigation and demand the perpetrator be held responsible or we should cut off arms sales.
