Why do people put up with ads?

From Day One here, I have never had a pop-up or ad.

You really need to use a browser that will run an adblocker addon, Sarge.

I'm no fan of google because of its politics, but google chrome is one damn good browser. I've never seen an add here, and the site can't track me, because of chrome and addons.

Every night, at about 03:59 AM EDT (09:59 where I live), the system is shut down for about 15 to 20 minutes. I assume that it is a maintenance cycle. I usually cook my coffee during this time.

Sounds right I know that early in the morning you can not get on for about 15 to 20 minutes and that would be about the last time I would try to get on around then.
