Conventional wisdom in the nation's capital has it that Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) is a sure bet to be confirmed as U.S. Secretary of State by the U.S. Senate, despite his alleged anti-war propaganda when he returned from his brief tour-of-duty in Vietnam and his ties to China as a senator. In fact, on Sunday leaders of the controversial conservative group known as the Swift Boaters, who attacked John Kerry's military record to derail his bid for the White House in 2004, said they won't actively fight his nomination as Secretary of State.

Even foreign leaders are expected to welcome Kerry as Hillary Clinton's replacement, such as Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who said he welcomed the nomination of U.S. Sen. John Kerry as the next Secretary of State.

"Kerry is a shoe-in the top administration job and few Republicans will attempt to derail his appointment. The people responsible for informing Americans about Kerry's suspicious past have given up their role as purveyors of honest news so there's no chance of Kerry being stopped," said political strategist Mike Baker.

China will likely replace the USA as world leader, said Bill Clinton in a recent Washington Post interview. It is just a matter of time. Clinton should know. He has personally done more to build China’s military strength than any man on earth.

Most Americans have heard of the so-called "Chinagate" scandal. Few understand its deadly import, however. Web sites such as "Chinagate for Dummies" and its companion "More Chinagate for Dummies" offer some assistance.

Thanks to Bill Clinton, China can now hit any city in the USA, using state-of-the-art solid-fueled missiles with dead-accurate, computerized guidance systems and multiple warheads.

China probably has suitcase nukes as well. These enable China to strike by proxy – equipping nuclear-armed terrorists to do its dirty work while the Chinese play innocent. Some intelligence sources claim that China maintains secret stockpiles of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons on U.S. soil, for just such contingencies.

In 1997, Clinton allowed China to take over the Panama Canal. The Chinese company Hutchison Whampoa leased the ports of Cristobal and Balboa, on the east and west openings of the canal, respectively, thus controlling access both ways.

A public outcry stopped Clinton in 1998 from leasing California's Long Beach Naval Yard to the Chinese firm COSCO. Even so, China can now strike U.S. targets easily from its bases in Panama, Vancouver and the Bahamas.

How did the Chinese catch up so fast? Easy. We sold them all the technology they needed – or handed it over for free. Neither neglect nor carelessness is to blame. Bill Clinton did it on purpose.

This alleges that Kerry may have received laundered campaign contributions from Communist China, but offers no proof.

It goes on to state that carry may have arranged meetings between Chinese aerospace executives and U.S. government officials, but offers no proof.

It's probably true, but the veracity of the story is not the most interesting thing about it.

Allow me to explain.

Where does the OP think American capitalists get over 30% of their manufacturing?

Where does the OP think Walmart - a primary contributor to the GOP - gets over 50% of its products made?

Answer: Communist China.

Communist China is now the chief manufacturer of the goods sold by large American corporations.

God help us. The Republican smear machine keeps getting dumber.

Executive branch employees have a continuing obligation to take the actions necessary to comply with ethics laws and regulations concerning conflicting financial interests and impartiality. Executive branch agencies are required to educate employees about these and other ethics provisions. Moreover, many employees are required to file periodic financial disclosure reports.

Disqualification Required by Conflict of Interest Statute

A criminal conflict of interest statute, 18 U.S.C. § 208, prohibits an employee from participating personally and substantially, in an official capacity, in any “particular matter” that would have a direct and predictable effect on the employee’s own financial interests or on the financial interests of:

the employee’s spouse or minor child;
a general partner of a partnership in which the employee is a limited or general partner;
an organization in which the employee serves as an officer, director, trustee, general partner, or employee; or
a person with whom the employee is negotiating for or has an arrangement concerning prospective employment.

A “particular matter” is virtually any Government matter to which an employee might be assigned, including policy matters and matters involving specific parties, such as contracts or grants. (A few matters in Government, however, may be so broad in scope that the conflict of interest law does not require an employee’s disqualification even though the employee’s own or “imputed” financial interests are among those affected by the matter.)

Disqualification (“recusal”) is mandatory in the circumstances specified in the statute. Moreover, disqualification is often the appropriate way to prevent a conflict of interest in the long term, unless an “exemption” applies or the circumstances warrant use of other means of resolving conflicts of interest.

How False Narrative Works

"In other words, the secrets were lost during the Reagan-Bush administration, not the Clinton-Gore administration."

"Before the criminal investigation began, weapons experts consulted by the government concluded that stolen American secrets had helped China improve its nuclear weapons, according to inside accounts of the experts' meetings. They also said the Chinese wanted to replicate key elements of America's most sophisticated warhead, the W-88, and had obtained some secrets about it. However, most of the experts agreed that those secrets were rudimentary, and that there was no evidence China had built anything like the W-88."

They must have confused Kerry with....

....Haley Barbour.

Loved Kerry's winter soldier testimony where he said that if we surrendered SE Asia to the Communists maybe 10,000 people would be killed...tops.

Cambodia did not have a Second Amendment
