Kentucky drug testing welfare recipients?

Is this true? I think it's a brilliant idea. Or maybe put a time limit on it? 3? 5? 10? 20 years?

Those that test positive should be jailed for their drug crimes. If you can't get them for being nefarious fuckers, give them jail time for their drug habits.

Given that most of the people on welfare are children, my guess is the percentage of people who benefit from welfare that are taking drugs is relatively low.

I think it's a bad idea that will mostly appeal to people who object to welfare for idealogical reasons.

amazing how people are willing to blame anyone but themselves. The economy fell because we as a people have let ourselves become corrupted and full of greed. The idea that one particular group of people was solely repsonsible is ridiculous.

The Federal Government is as much, if not moreso responsible for this economic downturn. Fanny Mae and Freedie Mac are arms of that government. How about we drug test our politicians and the countless bueauracrats in the system as well? I mean we all know they have countless amounts of pornography on their computers and they dont do jack squat of what they were hired for. Would it be a stretch to presume that there might be some major drug issues as well?

All people being paid from govt funds should be drug tested if any of them are.

The military gets tested once or twice a month. It's based on the last didget of your SSN.

I know a few people that lost thier carriers over getting tested.

Why not test those on welfare and the rest that work for the government?

Plus the whole point of drug testing is for it to be random and catch the drug user off guard, if the drug user knows the date and time of the drug test he has several days to get himself clean for the test.

Let private charities do it. The government doesn't need to be part of it. In fact, it's far better if individuals are involved rather than the government.

We're are creating a dependent class of people. We need to teach them the blessings of self sufficiency.

Oh, and if their children die, it's not our fault. You do realize that they are the ones responsible for their children, not us right?

Maybe if we focused more on our responsibilities, to ourselves, to our family, and then to those around us, we wouldn't have so much system abuse.

We who work on Wall street are drug tested on a regular basis.

And the welfare drug testing is idiocy.
