Kennedy Car Crash Cover-up?

I'd like to hear the Left Wing Drive By Media try and spin this ....

Sen Ted Kennedy's son, involved in a 2nd car accident in as many weeks, found "staggering" at the scene. Police who arrive at the scene are told to leave by Capital Hill police who took Kennedy home....

Why does this remind me of Chappaquiddick? And why do I hear the "hypocrisy alarms" going off? Wasn't there a call for a big investigation when Cheney accidentally shot that fellow?

I think it's going to ratchet up here soon. He was DRUNK. So what does he do... why go on TV and say, "gee, I don't remember it". OH YEAH, THAT SOLVES EVERYTHING!!! And why does that sound so familiar... was it all the, "I don't recall's" from hitlery clinton I'm thinking of? Probably.

Drunker'd kennedy's... :alco:

I tell you that left wing media screwed up on this big time. Some idiot put it out everywhere. It's in newspapers, radio, tv - golly it's even on the innernet. You'd think they could put a clamp on it, but noooooooooo - damnit who's in charge of that left wing media? They couldn't even protect a Kennedy. What in hell is wrong with them?

If I was caught driving under the influence, I'd be escorted to jail.

The law in New York State (and most states here, I imagine) is that if you get caught DWI a second time, it's a felony.

But, if you are related to Ted Kennedy, suddenly something magical happens and the kid gloves come out.

Representative Kennedy's uncle, Ted crashed a car 37 years ago, too. That time, it took the life of a young lady. Senator Kennedy claimed that he woke up several hours later several miles away with little recollection of what happened. In fact, the police weren't called for quite some time. Then, a Kennedy got away with it.

And now history repeats itself.

I think I might have mentioned this in another thread but the important thing about this is not so much Kennedy allegedly DUI, the important thing is that he was allegedly shepherded away from the CP patrol officers by their police supervisors. That's the bit that rankles. You're quite right KM, if it were you or me or anyone not connected, we'd be staring at the perspex shield from the back seat in the patrol car. And we'd deserve it.

I'm not going to comment on Kennedy's alleged condition - the senior police involved allegedly protected him from investigation and therefore there's no evidence available of his blood-alcohol content (don't want to get myself and the site owner(s) sued).

And I would suggest this isn't about partisan politics - it's about privilege being protected. I will add my by now standard disclaimer that this happens everywhere. I can quickly come up with a dozen examples of it happening in my country and it's absolutely wrong.

I think I'll wait until a reliable source gives up the full story instead of a hack like Drudge...

I'm following the Porter Goss story now, those salacious allegations of hookers and parties and Republicans, give them Dems a run for their money :suck:

Yes, the memory lapse is hard to swallow, too common a technique among the guilty.

Saw on the news yesterday that Pat Kennedy says he's going to go to rehab yet AGAIN.

Can't forget that he assaulted an airliner worke some time ago, either.

Of course, he's getting far more sympathetic treatment from the MSM, he's a liberal Kennedy. To wit:

http://www.abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=1926999

Even the title's trying to portray Pat as a victim. A superior relieved the two officers at the scene, that's preferential treatment, no doubt about it.

Ted *HICK* kennedy is a stinking lush. So is his little relative pattie. They're an over privileged, liberal, lying bunch of fucking whack job, looney left, drunkerd's... period.

Patties first statement about the running from the cops and crashing his mustang said he didn't have anything to drink. Gee, he REMEMBERED that in his first statemenet. Then some think tank lawyer told him shit boy, you can't be saying that. You have to say you can't REMEMBER anything, that way we can get you off.

Filthy rotten liars.

The Kennedy Curse is they hang around with the wrong crowd especially .... Jack Daniels, Johnney Walker, Genny Ale, Bud Weiser, Samuel Adams,
George Killian and Mick L. Lobe.

There was a great documentary about young Kennedy's run for Congress in RI. His Republican opponent was perfect: a doctor who did charity work, smart, good thoughts on policy, etc. Kennedy was a cocaine-snorting little twit from the private school. But everyone said they were voting for him, either because he was a Kennedy or because "he's so cute."

Democracy. The god that failed.

Shit WJ... the liberals on the dirty side can't see past their bottle of Gin. The kennedy's have probably gotten drunk with the majority of them.

HEY... VOTE FOR ME AND I'LL BUY YOU A DRINK... :alco:

You forgot Jim Beam, Jose Cuervo, and that nice navy guy, Captain Morgan.

Heck, daddy Joe was a good ole HONEST bootlegger.. So why shouldn't they all be lushes. :alco: ;)

Uh-oh, looks like gay hookers now! Not that there's anything wrong with being gay of course :)

I bet the MSM being pro-liberal and all is really giving that story a run. Probably pushing the Kennedy story out of the way to breathlessly report all about Hookergate!

NOPE. Good try though.
Just start another thread if this is what you want to discuss... sssshhhheeeesh

Nah I'm not interested in it really, it's a bit dirty and distasteful and I'd only be repeating speculation elsewhere for no valid reason.

No, my point was to indicate that while Kennedy allegedly being DUI is being given lots of space and airtime in the MSM the matter of one of the allegations surrounding the Porter Goss resignation is being virtually ignored by the MSM. Not that I really give a toss - I was just pointing out that the claims that the MSM is somehow "liberal" or "left wing" is risible. There has been attempt - nor should there be - by the MSM to spin this incident as was proposed in the first post. Quite the opposite in fact. It's all over it. But not much about the deeper allegations about the Goss resignation, not even an attempt to find out if it's all rubbish or there's some substance to it.

If someone can show me an example of the MSM, perhaps the NY Times, trying to reduce the news impact of the Kennedy incident then please do. That was the claim of the original post. That's what my subsequent posts were addressing.

I admit to being a bit mischievous in making my point but every court has its Jester.
