Only if Obama gets assassinated and his Vice President starts said war. Kennedy was a tool, but at least only blame him for what he actually did.

He was masterful with the Missile Crisis. He never had to actually make the final decision and we will never know if he would have actually gone to war. He did however do all the steps to make the Soviets believe we would go to war. He told the Joint Chiefs that they should prepare to invade Cuba at a set deadline. When ask if he had authorized the invasion he replied he had done no such thing and repeated the military must be ready at the deadline to execute IF he did order it.

Of course he was stuck in that position by his earlier facilation on Bay of Pigs. He allowed those Cubans to believe he would support them, landed them in Cuba and then left them to die. One could though claim that was masterful as well, he got rid of a potentially dangerous armed force from American soil with out risking a war disarming them. A force he had not created ( Eisenhower allowed THAT to happen) and did not support.
