Keep Grant on the $50 bill

In the grand scheme of things, Grant was a MUCH better president than Reagan ever thought of being.

No.........that Alzheimer's addled asshole does NOT deserve to be on the 50.

Back when Nixon was president, Mad magazine printed a $3 in the magazine. folks tried spending them, which lead to an educational visit to the magazine by the Secret Service. The magazine argued that you can't counterfeit what doesn't exist.

I like Reagan too. But he shouldn't supplant Grant.

I was all for keeping Grant until BikerLoser chimed him with his characteristically stupid opinion.
But I think we need to bring back the $500 bill and we can put Reagan there, on the big daddy note.

Bernanke had stated back in 2008 that he was considering having the $500 and $1,000 bills reprinted again, but I don't know where it went from there.

I would not be surprised if the banks started changing to $50s from $20s soon.

I almost never use cash for anything. The ATM card is removing cash from the system.

I thought we already had a 500 and a 1000. The 500 has Cleveland and the 1000 McKinley. Is that no longer the case?

They should wait to even think about putting Reagan on until all the records have been unsealed and history can be recorded, taking those records into account. There's a reason American history courses only go up through 1980. Historians have a "30-year rule" of sorts.

If you want a 20th century President on the $50, put Calvin Coolidge on. He's the best 20th century President out of the whole lot.

Ever hear of Reagan's dream of a 500 ship Navy? He tried to make it happen and damn near broke the Navy. Why? Simple........too many ships and not enough people, some ships (carriers) had to troll up and down the waterfront looking for certain specialist rates to con into cross decking with them just so they could pull out on cruise.

Matter of fact, one of the more stinging insults you can say to a sailor is "you're a product of Reagan's 500 ship Navy, ain't ya?"

Want to know why? Because the standards were lowered during his tenure. I served through that shit, and know of which I speak.

No. There are only 2 other presidents who were worse than Reagan, and that would be Nixon and George Bush Jr.

Hey.......first time out of the gate, I voted for BOTH Bush Jr. and Reagan.

Second terms after seeing the bullshit they did to this country? I voted against 'em.

Put Harding on a $50 gold coin and Reagan on a new $20 gold coin, put Obama on the Charmin
